A heartfelt thank you to PII Foundation for the beautiful gifts from Bali shared with our audience at the Dudaryk concert. Your gifts helped us to feel that compassion and solidarity know no borders.
Easter reminds us that even in the deepest darkness, light returns, that love is stronger than fear.
Today, we will pray for every child to be safe and for every family to be reunited.
Happy Easter.
Stand with Ukraine. Support the DE TY Project.

Today we remember Taras Shevchenko, the poet who gave a voice to Ukraine’s soul.
Born into serfdom, he wrote about freedom, dignity, and the right of people to live on their own land. More than two centuries later, Ukraine is still fighting for the same freedom Shevchenko dreamed about.
DETY Project Welcomes Caolan Robertson to Yury Lypa Ukrainian Heritage School in Toronto. Thank you, Caolan for your courageous work in telling the world the truth about what is happening in Ukraine and for your tireless efforts to help bring Ukrainian children home from Russia.

Today, we stand with Vladyslav Heraskevych, whose courage at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games reminded the world of what dignity is. Remembrance is not a violation. Helmet of memory: Athletes, children, and coaches killed by russians in Ukraine. #DeTyWhereAreYou#ProtectUkrainianChildren

Relentless attacks on Ukraine’s energy grid have left millions without electricity and heat. Outside temperatures drops to –20°C. In Kyiv alone, nearly 60% of the city remains without power, with over 5,000 buildings lacking heat. #SaveUkrainianChildren#StandWithUkraine#DeTyProject #DeTyWhereAreYou
Today, Nastya and her little son Maksym were laid to rest.
They were killed by a Russian missile in Kharkiv on 2/01/ 2026. We believe Russia must be stopped. Russia must be held accountable for every life it has taken in Ukraine.

2025 is behind us. Oleksandra Matviichuk named «всупереч» — “in spite of” as Ukraine’s word of the year. We agree and thank Oleksandra for her courage and support of DE TY. Our goal for 2026 is to help bring every child back home to Ukraine.
Happy New Year! #OleksandraMatviichuk #DETYProject
16 March 2022. Mariupol Drama Theatre.
“ДЕТИ – CHILDREN” was written on the ground. Russian bombs fell anyway. Hundreds were killed. Now the occupiers reopen the theatre with lights and music, calling it “peace.” We call it: dancing on graves.
We remember. We demand justice.

This Christmas, we hold close the children and families of Ukraine — those separated, displaced, and living through the hardships of war. May the light of the season bring warmth, hope, and moments of peace, even in the darkest times.

A Russian shell destroyed Danylo’s home and wounded his mother. At 12, he biked 10 km daily to sell milk and keep her alive. Now he’s a student—and a recipient of Ukraine’s “Future of Ukraine” award. At DETY, we work so children don’t have to be heroes to survive.

A week has already passed since the The XXVIII Triennial Congress of Ukrainian Canadians. We want to express our admiration and gratitude to the organizers, volunteers, and hosts who made this Congress possible. It was an honor to be part of it. “ДЕ ТИ — Where Are You?”

One day, we will all wake up, and this nightmare will be over.
But the reality reminds us every morning: the war is still going on, Ukrainian children continue to die. This Giving Tuesday, choose the children of Ukraine.

Holodomor Memorial Day
This week, we honour the memory of the millions of Ukrainians murdered during the Holodomor — the genocide of 1932–1933. Between 3.5 and 5 million people were killed. More than a third of all victims were children. At DETY, we honour their memory by fighting for the children of Ukraine today. 🕯️
World Children’s Day reminds us that millions of children remain vulnerable to conflict, separation, and trauma. We continue our mission to protect and amplify the voices of Ukraine’s children.

On October 22, Russia struck Kharkiv targeting residential areas and day care facilities. Amid explosions and burning debris, Ukrainian rescuers, together with police officers and volunteers, carried 48 children to safety.
Ukraine’s children need your support.

Today, as we celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada, our hearts are filled with both gratitude and ache. Gratitude for every act of kindness. Ache for every child and family still living through war.
Our deepest gratitude to everyone who stands with Ukraine.

Last night in Ukraine, a 7-year-old boy, Makar Dorosh, was killed when a Russian missile struck his home. There are no words strong enough for this grief. Only a question that echoes in all of us: How many more children must die before the world says, “Enough”?

15-year-old Anastasiia Hrytsiv and her family were killed by a russian strike in their house in Lapaivka near Lviv💔
russia continues to murder chidren and other innocents on purpose. There can be no atonement for russia's heinous crimes against humanity.
Last night in the village of Chernechchyna in the Sumy region, a Russian drone destroyed the Lesnichenko family’s home. In an instant, an entire family was wiped out.

At DETY project, we bow our heads to every defender who has given the most precious gift for freedom.

In Dnipro, life has just given us a double miracle: two families welcomed three little hearts each.
In times when russia hunts for our children, Ukraine embraces and cherishes them with all its soul. Every birth is not just new life, is our victory. #DETYproject #DETYWhereAreYou #StandWithUkraine
