What if I told you there's a sign up for preorder, and they need to hit 400 sign ups to make them, but they're only at 325? π
If you're a trans author and have a TDOV sale, share it here. Especially if you have yet to get a sale. I want to give you visibility.

Between being really busy and in and out of ill, the last 3ish months have just disappeared for me so a lot of that silence is on me, but hiii I'm alive π₯°
Has Primark made it to you yet? To me they're on par with Walmart/Target sizings. Torrid might be another option. If it has to be a knit dress, hold out til autumn and you'll be falling over them in most stores.
We eventually had to do the same thing, used to come through to an endless collage of test pages π
Today is the last day to preorder Opus (full name: Guitar Concerto in C Flat Major, Op. 12: Lucina) before it releases tomorrow! The novella still needs 8 preorders to hit goal (so extremely unlikely) and 11 for me to handmake bookmarks. But...why not try?

I can only aspire to 50 Cent's level of petty - that's the most cold-blooded opening to documentary I've seen a while β¨
I gave up trying to understand it years ago, but the apology thing is throwing me. I once had a customer ask me what brought me "over here" and every round after he just profusely apologised, sometimes solo, sometimes with a friend. I'm just looking at him like πΆ please stop saying sorry.
Fascinating development inside the last few years is people now apologise for assuming I'm a) American and b) insulted by the assumption. Use that data as you will β¨
You're the sweetest π€
A banner with happy birthday to me written on it and "please preorder my novella to celebrate" below. There is a cake with orange icing as well as a river of what looks to be orange, light green, and dark green water. In the bottom right is the cover of Guitar Concerto in C Flat Major, Op. 12: Lucina. It is a beige/off-white cover with the book's title in gray-blue text. At the top is the text "A novella in three movements" and at the bottom is the author's name, S. Morgan Burbank.
It's my birthday. Please preorder my novella today.
Thread celebrating friend books later today.

The back cover of Guitar Concerto in C Flat Major, Op. 12: Lucina. It is a beige/off-white cover with the book's title in gray-blue text at the top. This is followed by a short description of the book reading "A girl playing guitar in a bar was more than enough to catch Daniel's attention. But she was more than that: something hypnotic, something ethereal, something familiar. What if the girl of your dreams -- the girl in your dreams -- was someone you knew all along? What lengths will Daniel go to in order to find out? Or was the right answer always staring Daniel in the face?". Finally, beneath that is a blurb reading "A story of self-discovery that embraces all the messiness that comes with that process, while showing that it's still 100% worth it. The protagonist's pain hits hard -- but so does their joy.". The quote is by Tabitha O'Connell, author of Structural Integrity.

I wish I understood what time zone utilities operate by. We were supposed to have our electricity upgraded tomorrow (getting to this point was its own saga). They've called to rearrange for Monday and, unless I've now developed pain med hallucinations, they're currently digging up the garden π€¨
You couldn't have convinced me that, almost 20 years ago, I'd find someone I'd eventually get a cat and a mortgage with. OR edit a book entirely through twitter dms. Balance or something β¨
And I'd do it again π§‘

Mean Girls. The Notebook. Every reference in Not Another Teen Movie (except Bring It On).
At uni, I completely missed Community and Breaking Bad. And as a dancer, Drag Race.
Everyone spoke about the above so often, there wasn't really much point to watch them π

I would not be where I am as a writer without @eveyjacob.bsky.social and @laidiggity.bsky.social. Full stop. They've helped me in different ways, but both have been there for me for a very long time. I would not have done anything that I have as well as I have without them.

Getting there βΊοΈπ«
Apparently you get three slipped discs in your life. This time around I got two for one, so here's hoping this is my lot ππ»
All signs point to the nerve healing, it's just not ready for more than what I've been doing. I feel a bit dumb for not thinking about it from the specialist's perspective before now, but π€·π»ββοΈ what can you do. Still a long road ahead but they're pretty hopeful for a full recovery.
One wants my body to learn that mobilisation isn't a stressor by stretching/moving it; the other wants it left alone because the assessment shows there's still radicular nerve pain overreacting to low-grade stimulus, and all mobs are doing is irritating it instead of letting it heal.
Next step: nerve recovery. The prognosis looks good, but the main reason I'm glad I went is because while my physio and the specialist agree that the pain is my nerve(s) in fight or flight mode overreacting to non-stressors, their approaches couldn't be more different.
I felt like an imposter going along since I've had an mri confirm what went wrong, but after an hour of going through the whole timeline and assessing me from head to toe, I came out of that appointment more confident about a full recovery than I have done this whole year. I'm so glad I went.
Referred for an nhs spinal specialist back in maybe April, took til this week to see them...only for them to work with the consultant we sprung for privately back in June π Edin stays not beating the small world allegations.
