“In order for me to write poetry that isn’t political,

I must listen to the birds.

And in order to hear the birds,

the warplanes must be silent”

Background image is a Facebook post that says

"Bears don't have rxpe academies #ChooseTheBear"

The meta AI explanation of the post is

"What is the context of the post?

The post says "Bears don't have prep academies" and is tagged with "#choosethebear." This phrase seems to be a play on words, possibly referencing the concept of prep academies, like Hope's Peak Academy from the Danganronpa series, but comparing it to bears not having such institutions. Without more context, it's hard to pinpoint the exact intention, but it might be a humorous commentary on the differences between humans and animals in terms of education or preparation. The tone appears lighthearted and might be related to a meme or internet trend ¹."

Cis people: just nip over to your GP to feel a little perkier by taking some T.
Trans people: just spend 5 years on a waiting list, go through a few psychiatric assessments, and if you survive that then you might get a prescription for exactly the same HRT.

The degradation of society:
1. Celebrating the k!lling of a CEO
2. Cheering on warehouse arsons
3. Making heroes out of people who attempt political violence
You can be outraged at the system and still not glorify violence. These aren't wins. This is a society losing its moral compass.
[Coming from a liberal btw]

I don’t know how people keep forgetting that workers rights were entirely written in blood and the capital class had to be threatened with violence before they agreed to things like 8 hour working days and 2 day weekends.

The amount of people who have been propagandised to believe you get rights and freedom by just asking for it nicely is bizarre to me.

Like, read literally any history book.

“When the violence of one’s oppressor feels inevitable, when people don’t know how to stop what’s happening, the risk of moral surrender is real. Will we allow our sense of empathy to become dull and fade?”

Anti-trans hatred is the very lifeblood of 21st century fascism and we need everyone to wake up to this simple truth before it's too late.

The two truths:
1) There is nothing wrong with porn, let people safely make it, let people safely enjoy it.
2) If you let people define porn as bad, authoritarians will ALWAYS expand the definition until their hands are around your neck.

Isn’t it weird how “AI literacy” being pushed on students isn’t about learning how it works, the cost of how it works, learning to spot disinformation, media and tech literacy. But instead is just “employers will like it if you get it to write your emails :)”

"is this a pigeon?" meme, except it's a writer looking at a perfectly normal first draft and asking "Is this the worst thing ever written?"

Motability drivers 'horrified' by compulsory black boxes The boxes will monitor driving habits, such as speed and braking, and will provide a weekly rating.

This is something that saves the government no money, catches no cases of fraud, and otherwise adds nothing to any definition of the public good. it's just performative cruelty. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Yet again Kemi uses the phrase 'child prostitution' in PMQs. Again, against the horror of Epstein's crimes it might feel small but language like this is a part of how survivors and victims have been blamed for their own abuse for decades.

i’ve come to believe that we will never solve the literacy crisis by talking about reading as “watering the garden of your mind” or whatever. books are, and have always been, the favored medium of God’s purest freaks and degenerates. Reading isn’t a salad. If you’re doing it right, it’s a vice.
