a screenshot from episode 38 of the Digimon Adventure anime reboot that came out in 2020.

it shows the character Gabumon being crucified. this is after he is kidnapped by Mephistomon, a fallen angel digimon, & then ritualistically sacrificed to try and resurrect an ancient evil god digimon named Milleniumon.

this was in the cartoon. they showed this to children.

today we give thanks to Gabumon, who long ago digi-died for our digi-sins 🙏

Seeing people say AI is a tool that helps "working class people become writers" and its such bullshit. The process of learning and skill sharpening is labour, and its telling that there is work to be glamorized (being perceived as a Writer) and labour beneath people (learning to write)

heartening thread here. there is real, meaningful work we can do to protect our communities, we can learn how to do it from each other, and we don't have to do it alone.

a digital drawing of a crying tiger jumping through a flaming hoop. The border is chains, with some links broken. An eye in each corner watches the tiger. Text above says “I don’t want to do this anymore” and the same text below is heavily distorted.

We have published the following update to our article following an email response from the New York Times.

Trans News Network has a policy against platforming bigotry. As such, we have declined to publish the Times' statement which included blatant transphobia.

Watching the New York Times become, not for the first time, an organ of bigotry and disinformation, seeing this happen in slow motion due to the influence of a tiny handful of hateful, arrogant twits like Sulzberger and Pamela Paul, is as frustrating as any experience imaginable.

But we will win.

In this in-depth interview Billie Jean Sweeney — a former editor at The New York Times — details how the paper shifted towards openly promoting anti-trans hatred, why this was directed from the very top, how some staff pushed back and the immense damage done by the NYT legitimizing bigotry.
