“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back to a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
IT SAVES PUBLIC MONEY to house people.

My 1 year old Lenova was continuously over heating. Just upgraded to a Samsung. Much happier.
Seems like most of the development is for rentals, not townhouses to buy?

So embarrassing to be an Albertan under this government.
“Restricting access and making Albertans pay for vaccines is the exact opposite of a public health strategy, and will add unnecessary pressure onto our already strained public health care system,” said FOM ED Chris Gallaway

This is amongst the most impactful two minutes of broadcasting I’ve ever seen.

I do not understand why we are not collectively freaking out.
This is big.
The @nfucanada.bsky.social is calling on the federal government to adopt proportional representation, saying first-past-the-post fuels western alienation and sidelines rural voices.
It’s time to listen, @mark-carney.bsky.social.
Read their powerful statement:
Will watch and report back.
What do the Poilievre Conservatives mean when they say they want to push back on "woke ideology"? That's a very good question with no answers from them.

Read the piece some are calling "Moscrop is a fake news shill for the Liberals."
Spoiler: If you read past the first few sentences, like a literate adult, you'll see this is, in fact, a partial *critique* of how we construct reasonability.

#STEM folks stop what you’re doing and read this.
All the coding, pipetting, and calculus won’t matter if our graduates aren’t humans.
~Smith and the UCP constantly do this. The most recent is their attack on AISH and it's not their first.
Why not make a campaign for the smallest man who ever lived to acknowledge and protest the American president.
Easy to lose this in the noise of the day, but the prime minister of Canada just said the US president, leader of the global hegemon, wants to soften us up economically so he can annex us.
That is one of the most remarkable statements, and realities, in our history.
Not saying anything tells us everything we need to know about who you are loyal to. Yourself.
Hey #yyc! For the last four years, I've sat on the Board of the Downtown Core Neighbourhood Association helping to get the group started.
We've done lots of fun things -- co-ordinating community garage sales, giving feedback to the city on projects, co-organizing a screening of waydowntown...
What the actual? This isn’t a Fox headline. It’s from PBS - apparently morphing from a respected public broadcaster to an organ of the Trump White House. If this is the kind of media that public television audiences are now consuming, and believing, we are in even more trouble than we thought.
NY day
You were taught that educated, single, child-free women are unwanted and pathetic because a woman who is unmanageable through attachment and enraged at the exploitation all around her is a very dangerous thing to an institution that needs to manage and exploit her in order to survive.
Canadians are still only worried about tariffs and not about white supremacy or fascism. It's maddening.
I always thought Elon Musk was the most dangerous man in America but I viewed him as a danger primarily in terms of his wealth and his disinformation power. I didn't realize he would pose an actual threat to our form of government, our national security, and our most sensitive personal data.
Sheesh.
