It sickens me when politicians talk about enacting 'tough decisions'. Targeting the unemployed, the sick, the disabled and people in extreme poverty receiving overseas aid rather than the wealthy and privileged is not a 'tough' choice, it's cowardly and unprincipled.

Cyprus should have investigated UK woman's gang rape claim, European Human Rights Court rules Cyprus failed in its legal duty to investigate a British woman's allegation in 2019 that she had been gang-raped by Israeli tourists on the holiday island, the European Court of Human Rights said on Thursday.

Interesting to see many stories there will be in the UK media about the #ECHR standing up for women victims of sexual violence.

The UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights will be reviewing the UK's compliance with ICESCR tomorrow and Friday (both 9am), webcast live on UN Web TV. This will be the UK's first review before a UN HR body since the GE last year.
