Snapper is in the foreground, thinking about their friend's words. 5: Snapper lays on the floor staring at the ceiling dotted with plastic stars while Montague looks down at Snapper as they speak. "Lame..." Snapper starts, "Did you want us to peak in our 20s? What about after that?"

literally how the hell did you guys end up in there.

A short comic where an eel invades on their roommate having sex to let them know they have a gig at "The Hagfish" Panel 1: KNOK KNOK--"excuse me- BUSY!" shouts the isopod from his bed, clearly leaning over someone, nude. Panel 2: Thr door opens, and an Eel walks in, "pff" they scoff, "oh as if-" Panel 3: "oh never mind, you ARE busy" The eel is now halfway through the doorway and looking in. "DUDE." snaps the Isopod, flinching at the sudden intrusion "Congrats? warn me next time." Panel 4: The eel sits down at the foot of the bed as the isopod covers himself and his partner, "Get out??" hissed the Isopod, half confused and half annoyed, "nah just-" starts the eel, "No." "Listen--" "DUDE." "I got us a GIG at the HAGFISH" Panel 5: A close-up of the isopod as his face lights up, "wait, really?"

in-class exercise

A friend sent me this voice message, so I have transformed it into something

an insectoid bipedal lookin guy with a rhino beetle horn. they're wearing a fancy shirt with big sleeves tied with a thick rope at their waist

bringing critter aura to the function

ok so here’s a 30 second speedpaint of this piece

focusing on the rendering part, i start with a rudimentary light source and base colours given the lighting.

then using the lasso tool to make geometric shapes that follow shape planes + use a textured brush to fill them with hand picked colours
