Painted entirely using @thearmypainter.bsky.social Fanatic, Historical, and a couple of John Blanche paints - kinda had to throw some grimdark on, right? Happy with that!

Only a small force currently but the Red Corsairs warband keeps growing

Oh ya I like this. I need to paint some black in the recesses where light is shining through, but I think it'll work.

Now to find some set dressings and maybe a chef.

A couple of old pre-heresy dreadnoughts join my corsairs as helbrutes. I love these guys, I almost bought an original on Saturday but they are tiny and a current primaris is around the same height!

Not a fan of the current sorcerer in terminator armour so my corsairs have raided a planet with a heresy era depot and scored some fancy old terminator armour for their sorcerer

That’s my first Red Corsairs unit finished to go along with the Chaos Lord in terminator armour and my version of the traitor enforcer. Only another 1600 points to go!

Had a lot of fun trying my hand at recreating some of that classic John Blanche style using the Masterclass sets from @thearmypainter.bsky.social - the one 'outside' paint I allowed myself was Plate Mail Metal for highlights. Not sure I quite hit Blanchitsu heights, but that was a great exercise!
