Stars' Glen Gulutzan offers Roope Hintz injury update ahead of Game 3 vs. Minnesota www.dallasnews.com/s...
I asked Glen Gulutzan if Marcus Foligno’s comments from last night — saying the Stars “can’t hang” with the Wild 5-on-5 — would be bulletin board material:
“I don’t know if we need a bulletin board. … Obviously, I don’t agree with it. It was a pretty close game last night.”
Nate Bastian is traveling with the team and will begin skating, but the Stars don’t expect him to be available until Round 2.
Roope Hintz is not on the road trip for Games 3 and 4, Glen Gulutzan said.
Ruled him out for Game 3 and said “very doubtful” for Game 4.
The Stars are hopeful he could be available for Game 5 when they return.

“I can’t see it going back.”
Stars coach Glen Gulutzan believes this series has hit a point of no return in terms of intensity.

Just thought I would give y’all a heads up that it’s going to rain today, on Sunday, on April 29 and on May 1 because those are the days I’m scheduled to fly on a plane to an NHL playoff game, and it never doesn’t rain on those days. Plan accordingly.
Clocking out at 1:59 a.m. 😴
See y’all in Minnesota for Games 3 and 4 ✈️
The Stars responded as they needed to and evened the series before it heads to Minnesota.
Here are five thoughts from the Stars 4-2 win in Game 2 ⤵️
www.dallasnews.com/s...
Final: Stars 4, Wild 2
The series is even as it heads to Minnesota.
Dallas responds with a two-goal game from Wyatt Johnston and a 28-save night from Jake Oettinger.
Wyatt Johnston adds an empty-netter.
4-2
The Stars kill the penalty. Then, Minnesota gets hit with a too many men penalty with 1:21 left in regulation.
The Stars get called for too many men on the ice with 3:44 left in regulation leading 3-2.
Brock Faber scores his second of the night for Minnesota.
3-2
Jason Robertson, still doing his thing, with Bill Guerin watching.
That's his second goal of the series.
3-1 Dallas
No penalty on Minnesota. Mavrik Bourque tipped the puck before it went over the glass.
The Stars power play gets extended after a delay of game penalty by Brock Faber.
End of first: Stars 2, Wild 1
The Stars will be on the power play for 1:58 when we return.
Marcus Foligno put Thomas Harley in a headlock and slammed his head into the boards. Foligno gets called for a major, but it's reduced for a double minor. Harley gets interference. Stars to the PP.
There aren't enough officials to split up all the scrums.
Watch: Stars' Colin Blackwell sets physical tone with jarring hit on Wild's Yakov Trenin
www.dallasnews.com/s...
Miro Heiskanen is called for tripping on the power play. 32 seconds of 4-on-4, and then Minnesota will go back on the power play.
Revolving door in the penalty box right now.
Jared Spurgeon trips Mikko Rantanen. Stars back to the power play.
We may never see 5-on-5 again.
Minnesota ends up on the power play.
Joel Eriksson Ek, Mikko Rantanen and Matt Duchene all get roughing.
Matt Duchene from Mikko Rantanen on the power play.
All hell breaks loose.
Duchene is shown on the jumbotron yelling, "what the f--k is he doing?"
Playoff hockeys is awesome.
2-1 Dallas
It was Nick Foligno, actually.
Marcus Foligno heads to the box for elbowing Nils Lundkvist. Stars to the power play.
End of first: Stars 1, Wild 1
Jake Oettinger has 12 saves already. This game would be 4-1 without him.
And that is why you start Jake Oettinger.
Colin Blackwell just laid a big hit on Yakov Trenin, who was down on the ice for a while. His Wild teammates came to his defense. Trenin skated off bleeding quite a bit.
That's a clean hit. Trenin was just caught in a tough spot.
