--hang out with humans long enough begin to understand human emotions. It's interesting that one of the things O'Reilly picks up is something *neagtive*. Equally interesting is that RDW remarks in a later episode that she, too, can lie. This is in response to Angel, but it's still meaningful here.

You see, beyond the joke, there's more going on here: Dan and Frederick use the "thank you for your cooperation" salute to get out of telling the truth--or to at least get out of an uncomfortable situation. Dan already remarked positively in the beginnings of the episode that androids that--
See, it's funny, because The Accuser is The Father of Lies; and his name is never mentioned in the Bible. And it was the direct consequences of his freely chosen actions that got him that way
oh right Angel is Satan, by the way--
It's funny, because this isn't O'Reilly's mission. This has nothing to do with why he was sent, but this is why he's CHOSEN to be there. And doubly, you're thinking, oh, this is what O'Reilly is saying about the Android Crusher--and while that may be true, he's also saying it about
himself
And I equally appreciate the Union and Paradigm (Alex) being behind all of the (main) events of this episode while neither of them are onscreen or, in Alex's case, even in Paradigm
You could exchange just a few words and O'Reilly's response could be something Dorothy is secretly thinking:
"I... exist to simply be a vessel for memories that I don't even know I have that others find more importance in."
--their value is extrinsic rather than intrinsic. And I think we do get to see Dorothy fall prey to that as the second season goes on. A shame, doubly so with this painful exchange
--began to find more of herself in herself and from others--BUT! now it's beginning to get interesting with her character again, what with so many people now trying to capture her for her memories and *only* for her memories. Repeated events such as these could make someone start to think that--
Namely, O'Reilly isn't not outwardly defined by anything more than being bait for the Android Crusher, right? And he learns that he has more value than that by the end. RDW on the other hand, started the show being someone's mechanical bird and had her humanity devalued by Roger but eventually--
I appreciate that not only is this episode a detective thriller for who is causing all the android murders but also that it serves as a mirror of Roger and Dorothy's relation for Dan and Frederick and, even then, a mirror between Dorothy and Frederick themselves
What's also really cool is that Keiji K is a direct inspiration for Big O's face (along with Inazuman). Dope for ol' K to get a double homage in the show
I'm also only going to say this once--
Look, I'm only going to say this once
It's the TAS Batmobile; and Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane
And Inspector Gadget
I will never forgive The big bang theory for tainting the name Penelope
Had another run in with an AI program saying it absolutely can do something and then saying "actually, I lied"

Turns out vitamin deficiency is, haha, not cool or good. And it explains a lot.

Learning that "apple" (æpple) just meant fruits in general for several hundreds upon hundreds of years explains a lot
The fact that one of the most interesting versions of Captain Hook is probably from the 90's Fox's Peter Pan & The Pirates, is kind of crazy.
HA they went hard with his dialog....man I haven't seen this in 20 years.
