Foreword and Synopsis: I do not normally talk this openly about my issues with other artists because I just want peace and quiet. This is about @genicecream (Genice Chan)’s abusive entitlement and hyperfixation over my project "A Witch's Cross" (AWC), pieces of which I've been sharing with everyone as a reflection of my personal journey for self-love, in the face of a crippling chronic illness over the past 8+ years. I want to explain that AWC is not Just A Project to me – it’s an intimate allegory of things I experienced through my dreams, my lived experiences, and my personal relationship to my faith. It’s something I held onto for dear life when I was suicidal. This isn't a secret, but not everyone knows this – and I accept that the general public may not even respect this – but I expect more of my close friends. Over the past few years I had been confiding in Genice details of not only AWC, but of my personal experiences, not realizing she would be secretly farming ideas from all of it for years, to build her own project "Edensgate," which she purported to be a reflection of her own spirituality. [image] genicecream: to be fully honest i do feel kind of self conscious about how much of an influence you are on edensgate When I started finding out, she would plead guilty to appeal to my sympathies, and then “apologize” (after many attempts at gaslighting me). In light of this, I tried to be understanding and forgiving, but she kept abusing my patience and good faith to continue disrespecting my boundaries.

After the third new violation within weeks, I started to understand that she had nothing but malicious intent, and no regard for my well-being beyond my usefulness to her. She was so averse to the idea of confessing to a handful of others that she sourced her ideas from me, that she emotionally abused me for weeks, even resorting to writing a 10-page manifesto using God's name and authority to try and control me and absolve herself of making things right. *please note: in order to understand her manifesto, you will need to read at least the outlined key sections in this document* Even as she terminated our friendship, she admitted that she may still publish Edensgate in the future. I have experienced countless betrayals in my life but none so elaborate as this. She knowingly cheapened my experiences, my values, my spirituality, and my suffering to source her self-image project. The worst part was how readily she resorted to manipulating me with alleged “good intentions” and promises of bettering herself only to keep repeating the same offense before fleeing with her spoils. In my supporting documents, you will see how she burned through an entire 8-year friendship’s worth of credibility and good faith. I would not trust any apology or statement from her at this point. It is not my intent to "start drama" or encourage hostility towards this person. I simply want to set the record straight, and to warn people to watch out for someone who’s proved to be an extremely manipulative, predatory member within our community, all the more since she has established herself as a mentor figure as well as an industry peer. Mostly I'd like to thank everyone for understanding and respecting what "A Witch's Cross" is to me, for supporting me, and for reaching out to me in sympathy and compassion. It has been a real comfort throughout this ordeal.

I've brought this up repeatedly over the past few months, but I wanted to share the receipts of the heinous abuse I suffered at the hands of @genicecream over my own project “A Witch’s Cross” so she can longer obfuscate the truth. (And yes, she wrote a real manifesto)

Every random cis person going "well duh i'm chill with trans people who isn't" means that idea can't spread
