Another possibility is that the facts on the ground will stabilize for a long enough period that a new status quo is established. For example the fact that the Armenian genocide happened doesn't prevent what is today turkiye from international diplomacy and stable borders

You are applying a rational long-term framework to the decision making. For all we know Putin is dying and he isn't looking beyond the next few months.

Alternately you can look at the actions and words of Hitler in his last days. He felt Germany failed him and deserved to die so he maximized dmg

Hmmm, so either a bigger deal or just a very different situation

Thanks!

People on this site are ridiculous sometimes

Pretty sure the decision is Putin's to make and it seems likely that doing what you suggest would result in him being overthrown one way or another.

I believe he is addressing an audience of Russian civilians

Did this spike when B2s and B52s were transiting to Iran last month?

Really going out on a limb but maybe this is another indication of an escalation by the US in Iran? I've noticed a few signs: US now has 3 carrier strike groups there (very unusual and the highest number since the first Iran strikes), Iran said they believe Trump is stalling and will escalate, etc

I think you may be asking for analysis and not a literal definition. I'm no expert* but I believe this indicates an unusually large amount of active coordination and communication among strategic US military assets. Think: long range heavy bombers, aircraft carriers, destroyers and submarines.

If you made your purchases at Costco you are likely to get a check 🤷‍♂️

I rarely block someone. It seems like a lot of people have a very different threshold. I can't imagine why this led to you being blocked

Is this block worthy? I'd really like to understand what I said here that is wrong and / or offensive

Well yes from the perspective of Afrikaners who are racist

Based on my visit to Israel and my interactions with those who hold Zionist beliefs.... An Israel that does not see itself as a Jewish state, one that actively prioritizes the Jewish population, would be fundamentally a different country

They likely were actively stealing supplies from them. The pettiness of racists knows no bounds

I think a lot of Afrikaners would argue that, functionally, South Africa no longer exists. Meaning the nation is so radically different than when it was an apartheid state that it is to be unrecognizable to them

Personally I think that's a good thing 🤷‍♂️

Zelenskyy makes a big announcement: “We have already reached 10-year agreements with three key countries: Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. We already have requests from 11 countries – the Middle East and the Gulf, plus we’re also gradually turning our attention to the Caucasus.

At this point, I don’t want to understand MAGA or “walk a mile in their shoes” because their boots have been proudly stomping on human rights and they’re covered in blood.

Nothing about NATO compels members to defend each other. Also the US military cannot act without orders from the POTUS

Ergo if Trump chooses to ignore a NATO member's call from help we won't help. Ergo we are defacto not in NATO

NATO only allows for invoking article 5 for attacks on the territory of a member

That being said, the USA is effectively not in NATO when Trump is POTUS because there is very little chance he would agree to help a member if they were attacked

I get why you would say that. But we aren't their intended audience.
