My painting TOWERING STORM

Good morning!

the sunrise over a mountain outside king city, california. composite of 3 different shots, so slight misalignment due to being handheld. taken about an hour ago

It's a good as hell day to fight back the urge to be controlled by the despair.

This is a fun simple composition with the winding river providing the visual path to a richly colored sky. The contrast between those rich saturated colors of the sky and the deep dark greens of the marsh create a lot of drama and impact.

New painting underway! I start all my paintings with a rather detailed sketch using alcohol markers. Should be a fun one to paint.
