The text reads from top to bottom: "Status Effects: During your journey through the phantasmagoria there are many strange effects that can happen to you, your friends, or even your enemies! Here is just some of the possible effects that you may encounter and what they cause." "Flattened: This effect causes one to become stuck and unable to move or act but they will pop back up to normalcy after a while." "Greater Flattened: Like flattneed but will never pop up on their own and requires the aid of an [Air Pump]." "!WARNING!: If the entire party is permanently unable to act then you will be defeated and the game will be over, this goes for all effects!" "Inflated: From using [Air Pump] but not while Flattened. Affected will fly and be unaffected by ground effects or melee but will be unable to act." "Polymorphed: The affected temporarily swap racial traits with another race. The effect lasts until the battle ends or is dispelled" For this image there is a picture of this happening to Pascal and Jaygon with Jaygon exclaiming: "WHERE ARE MY FINGERS!?" "Transformed: A status with a large variety of effects. See page 27 for more details on its possible effects" For every text box there is also a picture to go along with it showing the status in action. Lastly there is also the page number in the bottom right corner, 12.

It's helped a LOT with Pascal, without having to adjust his snout/head shape! Though those were fun to explore too c:

In order to better practice facial expressions on my own characters, I found it very helpful to practice wacky expressions on characters that don't typically have access to the same exaggerated facial muscles us toons usually do! Garrus, Roadhog, and Zenyatta are my faves in this department! 👽🤿🤖
