I didn’t realize it was Trans Day of Visibility the other day, but I just want to say trans people should be celebrated daily. They deserve more than a day. They deserve a world that is kind and doesn’t create vile laws to make their lives harder. 🏳️‍⚧️

Kevin, a stray I feed, got super sick lately. Took him to the emergency vet, and after making preparations to adopt him, I found out he has FIV. He got meds, but it’s hard not think of the life he could’ve had as an indoor cat. I hope to one day find him a happy home. ❤️‍🩹

Autumn is the best!

It’s my roommate’s birthday, so I made a pie that I’m going to eat by myself in front of him. I learned how to stabilize whipped cream and use a piping bag for it. It’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever baked - which isn’t saying much - but I wanted to preserve it here for posterity.

That’s the truth! I like to think they can remember their old lives and can appreciate all the love and food they get.

Aw, they’re the best. So sorry you lost yours. It’s truly insane how hard that is. I get it. But the universe somehow sometimes decides to just throw cats at us and it can be a great consolation! Some feral boy cats can turn into little loving teddy bears.

It’s been five years since Kermit showed up two days before a tropical depression hit and decided not to be a stray anymore. He’s the best thing that ever happened to me. We survived a pandemic, a Category 4 hurricane, two tornado warnings, 12+ vet visits, and more. Here’s to many more years. ❤️🐱
