Katzenjammer's rig

Blender static material: Voronoi texture set to 3D, F1 and Euclidean, plugged into a White Noise Texture node, plugged into a Color Ramp node. The Generated section of a Texture Coordinate node is plugged into a Mapping node, which is finally plugged into the Vector section of the Voronoi. Animating the location in the Mapping node allows you to replicate the fuzzy look of the static!

Katzen also uses a 2D rig, as well as a custom static material!

Background character sketches: -A rabbit on a unicycle -An eyeball with a bowtie -A goat chimera thing -A static cat -A tall polygonal beaked thing

I sketched a bunch of goofy looking background characters but ultimately just went with the bottom two. The cat's name is Katzenjammer and the tall googly-eyed critter is named BG_1.fbx

"Little Buddy" was a character I designed for a D&D oneshot a few years ago with a homebrewed race that was essentially a digital zombie. Their original lore was a decrepit Clippy-esque digital assistant.

They use a simple 2D rig in the short similar to the paper characters in Lamplighter's Haven

-There was of course a bit of Spamton and Max Headroom thrown in as well, he's such a fun and bombastic character to animate

-His outfit was loosely based on the 7th Doctor's look on the cover of the Doctor Who novel "Sky Pirates"

Starting with the main man

-Many have pointed out resemblances to Caine from TADC but I actually had Kinger more in mind when designing him. I drew a lot from his neurotic nature

-His mannerisms were heavily based on Ulysses from ENA, which was also a huge influence on the short's setting/writing
