It's always taken under an hour, but one hour feels like twelve to a child waiting for a sweet treat.

And there's a good few of the reasons why the high street is dying. Maybe he could redirect his frustration into making his street a place that is so nice and accessible that people want to go there.
We've heard and seen so many negative stories about trans people and transitioning over the last few years, so it's not surprising. But whilst everyone is distracted, male violence against women and girls continues unabated.
Serious question. Could this be due to TBI influence somewhere or on someone?
I'm in the West Northamptonshire by election ward and haven't heard from the Tory yet. A Reform canvasser knocked to ask about a GE a couple of weeks before it was announced, so I doubt I'll get anything. LD and Green have both leafleted. I like the Green, but I wish they'd stayed out of this one
My son rents and has recently moved to where he can walk or cycle to work. His previous address was too far out/lacked infrastructure for active travel, and public transport was too overcrowded. Despite moving stress, I knew by his voice on the phone tonight that his cortisol level had dropped.
One of my proudest parent moments was when my daughter was a student at Northampton Tech College in 2016 when Loathsome did a talk about Brexit. Loathsome's response to an 18-year-old girl's questions was so vile that it led to her being physically dragged off stage by the principle. True story.
My grandad was born in 1900 and managed to sign up for the navy in WWI when he was 16. He loathed war. Meanwhile, my other grandad was involved in Irish uprisings and was imprisoned by the British for a while. He taught his children hate was destructive, and talking was the only way to find peace.
It's the availability and quality of parks that I see as the problem. Speaking as someone who grew up on shared bottles of Woodpecker cider and cocktails made up from dashes of spirits from many drinks cabinets and a large bottle of coke.
Yes is winning on 58%
Mail is running a poll on whether the UK should rejoin the EU.
Takes seconds to vote and it's going hilariously well...

I'm guessing the Gormley wasn't sold at auction
Yeah, but you might be onto something here ๐ค
Yeah, but the algorithm will make sure your manly man sylo, I mean feed, doesn't get "polluted" with anything even slightly feminine coded. After all, X is for everyone.
The days when kids could play in the streets that are now filled with either parked cars or traffic.
Kids can't travel independently in many areas, and youth groups and sports clubs closed or monetised years ago. There's a lack of public transport or protected cycle ways, which means that already time poor parents have to provide transport and money for kids to play together.
There used to be functioning trading standards, environmental protection, and health and safety bodies at local and national levels. They're all reactive rather than proactive now. Plus, we have to taxi our kids to 'play events' and then spend hours commuting every week on broken roads.
It's literally the enshittification of everything, from the products we buy to the services we use. They're all just crappier than they used to be.
I've seen issues with noise from ones in the US. It may only be a low-level hum, but to live with it 24/7 has massive detrimental health and environmental implications.
The enshittification of pretty much everything from the products we buy to public services we use might have something to do with it.
I wish more people would challenge the idea that trade unions funding research or politics is bad, yet individuals can donate millions without questions. Each union openly represents 1000s of people's needs, yet we never hear what those individuals demand in return for their money.
You've all just made the argument for why we need to bring back evening classes. Even if we had to subsidise it, pensioners making art, pottery, and woodwork would be far more cost-effective than them giving themselves rage induced heart disease.
That's only because he knew perfectly well that Grayson Perry couldn't answer it.
Is this the bit where capitalism starts eating itself?
We need to flip the question and stop asking, "How much will it cost to do?" and start asking, "What will it cost us, what are we risking, if we don't? And not just about this.
Definitely, but it would build a more complete picture if he'd told us what the governor was earning back then compared to now.
When will men in politics be scrutinised as aggressively as women are? This isn't the first time Tice has dodged his UK taxes, but for 'some reason', the media haven't hounded him daily for weeks on end or pried into his personal living arrangements, which incidentally, is relevant.
My two definitely weren't saints. But being poor in a wealthy village meant their behaviour was heald to higher standards than their peers.
Maybe not. I'm poor but secure in social housing, so my kids won't inherit, and they didn't dodge. Their friends' student debt levels and housing status are based on their parents' and grandparents' wealth or lack of it, and my kids knew how it would be at 14.
When poor kids grow up seeing and hearing about people dodging annual tax bills more than their lifetime earnings or people making shed loads from unearned wealth, and some becoming obscenely rich or getting well ahead because of inherited wealth, then dodging fares seems like a small payback.
