The main game was fun as long as you set expectations that this is a game with a much smaller scope of what it’s trying to do I feel it does it well though. The dlc definitely isn’t worth $30 though and you can probably skip.

1. So to start with I think a thing that isn’t discussed is that attending the amount of regionals required to actually get to the high ranks of the competition is prohibitively expensive so most competitors you see are likely coming from a place of privilege which is going to set an environment.

I feel like ending is too generous a term for how those games conclude it’s more like you’re enjoying a bar and then the bouncer comes picks you up throws you through a window (next to an open door they could have used) and says come back in 3 1/2 years and maybe I’ll tell you why I did that.

We’ve had 4 dlc so far and only 1 out of 4 of those dlc has had a “new” way of shiny hunting which is technically just a retooling of a way of obtaining shinies that already existed in the main game but with legendaries and better odds so it’s not impossible but I wouldn’t say it’s like a sure thing
