Sometimes rookies don't have biographical information from the NHL in their first few games. His first game is present in the game logs on the site, but any tables that use bio information won't show him. It looks like it's updated now, so when our update runs in a few hours he should be there.

Luke and I wrote way too much for our Awards article, which should be out shortly, so I'm distracting myself from editing it. I wish I had the gift of concision. I do not and never have. In a way that's what drew me to Twitter and then Blue Sky. The forced word limit is like a challenge.
I know that everyone is talking about this, but I still can't believe the Kings made the playoffs with 22 regulation wins in 80 games. Some quick math tells me (22/80 = 0.275) that they won less than 3 out of 10 games in regulation. You can check my math on this, but I'm pretty sure that's right.

I've been doing some "reconnaissance" for the Awards article, and I'm now realizing maybe we need to go back over to Twitter to yell at everyone for still using skater points for evaluation of any skater in any form. We went about it for years then decided we should chill. The chill might be over.

If you bring up any sort of offensive numbers in any fashion when discussing the Selke trophy, you should be muted.
Starting on our Awards article for EH (should be out early Tuesday), and I have to say: No one has listened to us about the Selke. And we've been going on for YEARS. No one ever seems to bring in defensive numbers or, hell, even defensive ideas. Points and offense somehow always become a part of it.
