I am coming to this realization as well -- almost quit this quarter but held out, despite now having what feels like a lifetime supply and also giving away beans to anyone who expresses even a vague interest. But the end is near for me, too.

I honestly was going to be very bummed if the US got silver after more than 300 minutes of shutout hockey in this tournament.
Wooooooo! Gold for the US women!
20 minutes of 3-on-3 seems exhausting.
Screamed so loud I scared the cat! Tie game! Woooo!
I’m really glad I just ate half a sleeve of Do-Si-Dos or now I’d be craving Tim Tams. (Also, cringing over the typo in my last post.)
Ooh. Will have to try the dunking for the Trefoils. It’s definitely easier than whipping up chocolate buttercream, which is my go to. And the Exploremores sound interesting. I liked the weird marshmallow situation in the now-defunct S’mores cookie. Sounds like they is maybe the replacement.
I’d dig into the Samoas or the Tagalongs - perfect right out of the box. The Thin Mints need time to freeze, the Trefoils need a batch of frosting… and I’ve never even heard of the fifth variety you have there.
Fuck ICE

I’m hoping Bailiwick has permission to do a shirsey version once the fundraiser with the real jerseys is done. I’d definitely grab one.
They’re designed by Bailiwick - so how could they be anything other than badass?
I can’t even find words for how much I hate what’s happening at /to the Washington Post.
Yes! So good. The creativity is honestly mind-blowing. I would never even think of most of the things people have come up with. I’m also starting to get think pieces… many of which are actually good. Even the one on LinkedIn of all places.
And yes, the easily-gamed algorithm is the best thing about Threads. I think I’m at about 80% HR and 20% Swiftie and the real world vanishes.
OMG! I love the plushies. Every single one of them is hilarious. And people have made little crochet Amigurumi of Ilya and Shane! Like, what?!
Right? It’s weirdly addictive stuff. (Dunno if you’re also on Threads, but that seems to be ground zero for feral fandom. It’s *a lot* but also very fun.) I’m on library hold for Role Model and Common Goal, but was at least able to nab The Long Game so I know how it works out for Ilya and Shane.
So hey. Circling back to say thanks for this post. Hadn’t heard of the books / show when you initially posted, and now, barely a month later, I’ve watched the whole show (several times), read 4 of the books, and am maaaaybe becoming a weirdo about it. Harlequin Books and Crave owe you a commission!
In 2026 I want all of the decent people to remember one thing.
You aren’t meant to be this disciplined, this self-sacrificing to survive. The environment is supposed to support good living. We can have that. You are not a failure. That is politics.
That is all.

- @tressiemcphd.bsky.social with an absolute mic drop moment about AI bullshit.
Incredible words.
Listen to all of it!
There used to be a place by me that put kimchi, bulgogi beef, and sriracha on a hotdog and it was magical. I still dream of that dog.
The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.
All from his movies.
Oh that’s good to hear. Sounds like it’s worth giving another chance. Thanks!
Hey… question about these. How is the hockey? Like, is it accurate and/or relevant to the story? My first foray into hockey romance was marred by the fact that the hockey part of the plots didn’t work for me at all. Probably great for a casual fan, but not someone way too into it.
I’m so grateful to the people who invented coffee.
Also, you should see every Tom Stoppard play you can. His writing is flat-out phenomenal.
Oh, I love this. What a brilliant way of illustrating how the arts, in addition to clarifying (and creating) our culture, open us up to new ideas and creative modes of thought.
If they weren’t all east of 81, we could probably cajole Wegman’s into carrying them. But that Wegmans-Price Chopper line can never be crossed.
Oh absolutely
