I didn’t either. Stumbled upon it.
I’m just getting into it. I love it! There’s an animated show based on The Boys as well. They’re milking it for all it’s worth. LOL
Gen-V, that offshoot of The Boys. Also, The Borderlands. Several priests investigate odd happenings in a church hoping to find a reason to appoint someone to sainthood. Pretty ordinary until that ending. Wow!
This is Beowulf. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
Thank you!
The house reminds me of the 200 year old house I lived in when we first moved to Mass. They're about the same size. "Cozy", which is real estate speak for "small". LOL I love ghostly legends and I visit as many allegedly haunted places as I can - often for research for stories.
#HorrorWritersChat The Horror Zine Apr issue is live. THZ is also on hiatus for a few months while the EIC moves.

THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR is in THE LIZZIE BORDEN HOUSE ANTHOLOGY

Hey, thanks! That whole business sounds fascinating. I'd like to visit the Lizzie Borden house at least one more time so my husband may see it. I can see why Lizzie went stir crazy. The house is tiny with little if any privacy.
Thank you for the mention! 😘

Joe Lansdale's last Hap & Leonard novel coming soon.
Bruce Campbell is working on Ernie & Emma, which he wrote, directed & stars in.
John Russo is working on Spawn of the Living Dead. He co-wrote the original NOTLD with George Romero.
I've interviewed all three.
I've heard of that interview but I haven't found it. It sounds fascinating! I was delighted to find those blueprints of the house online. They help jog my memory of being there. Sadly, the Lizzie Borden house has been bought by Ghost Adventures who turned it into a tourist trap. It's not the same.
Fairy tale retellings are great fun. I've written three, based on Cinderella, Puss In Boots, and Rapunzel. They're erotic romance. Your story of the refugee prince sounds like fun.

THE HOUSE NEXT DOOR, my Lizzie Borden story. I've been to the house twice. Found blueprints of the house online & read about the ghosts from the house next door to the Borden house. Read as much as I could about Lizzie & her new home, Maplecroft.
I think she did it. 😎

Research! Research! Research! I wrote FOG OVER MONS, which is set during the Battle of Mons in France during WWI. My husband is a history buff. He helped me with the time period, military practices, uniforms, etc. I researched the battle as well as the Angels of Mons legend.
Have you seen the original Three Body? I think it's streaming on Prime. I saw that one but not the remake on Netflix. I saw the original and it was fantastic. It's also huge - about 30 episodes long.
Thanks! I'll look her up.
I grew up in Baltimore, where Poe died. I've been to his grave and his home in the city. I even briefly dated the curator of the Poe Museum. :) Poe is my favorite writer, for obvious reasons. Those Easter eggs were so much fun! Birth dates, death dates, character names, etc. Loved it!

Sorry, ran out of space. That's my one complaint about BlueSky. Word count isn't big enough.
All my writing has helped me write horror and vice versa. I know how to conduct proper research. I see different perspectives depending upon genre. I create fun characters, too.

I have written non-fiction, erotica, erotic romance & dark fantasy. I've written product descriptions & articles for a UK sex toys company. I also conduct author interviews including Ramsey Campbell, Bruce Campbell (Groovy!), Jonathan Maberry, Elizabeth Massie & Kathe Koja.
I really need to read it. I haven't been in much of a reading mood for a long time. I need to turn my brain off to relax at the moment. The Count of Monte Cristo just might be the perfect "get out of that funk" reading material. I love a good revenge story.
I need to rewatch Cranford. I think it's on PBS, which we have. Loved it the first time I saw it, but I no longer remember it. Time for a rewatch!
Happy birthday in advance! I loved all the Poe Easter eggs in The Fall of the House of Usher. That made the series even more enjoyable for me.
Me, too. Thanks! Things are going well so it should only be stitches/staples removal. Hopefully, I'll be up and about walking easily soon. It's getting to be nice outside. I want to walk by the harbor. Can't do beaches yet. Sand too hard to walk on.
I shall. Thank you!
Thanks! I loved The Count of Monte Cristo. I have the book. Must read it. I love a good revenge story. I recognized the actor who played Danglers. He was in The Gilded Age. Another fun show.
Thanks! I'm coming along nicely. Can move around much better now although I still need help. I hope I'm up and about by the end of May.
Enjoy the concert. I LOVE Father Ted!
Drink! Feck! Arse! Girls! LOL
Thanks! I'm getting better. Yesterday afternoon I was able to stand up and sit down on my own without any help. Hip and leg still hurt, but not nearly as much. I see my doc Friday for a post-op visit. Probably getting the stitches and staples removed. Then, fried clams and fried scallops for lunch!

I'm Trish Wilson, Media Director for The Horror Zine. I write quiet & comic horror. Also do interviews.
I've been watching plenty of TV since I'm laid up after hip surgery. Can't do much else. I've seen THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO on PBS, THE BOYS, and GEN V. Enjoying all of them!
