I like to last tune to match the face as closely as possible. Smooth sections and balances etc. I also change tunes as the couple on the end joins in so everyone is dancing.

Anyone into contra dance?
I went after many years of both inactivity and covid and found I still remembered how to do it.
There were a remarkable number of young people discovering it and I felt like an old hand. Of course they bounced around and got lost, but they were smiling.
