A Lamy Dialog CC Fountain Pen in Matte Blue & Rose Gold with a 14k fine nib that has a cursive italic grind on it by Daniel Smith at Nibsmith. The paper is the back of a sterling ink to do list notepad, which is cosmo air 83gms. The ink is Pilot Iroshizuki Ama-Iro.
This pen was on back order and took three months to receive... but the wait was well worth it.
The cursive italic grind by Daniel Smith/Nibsmith is soo nice 🩵

Ugh, that's so cuuute
Sad that which is lost to time
Thanks! I did come across that post - the german message board had some interesting speculation, but it didn't venture beyond such, sadly!

There's not much info about this pen or brand online. It sure is lovely, though 🥰
A Stipula Novecento Avancarica Fountain Pen in the Wild Honey colorway. It has a V-Flex steel nib. (Tho, honestly, it's not really a flex nib... but they're not the only offender out there calling a nib a "flex nib" when it isn't lol) It is inked with Hana Ink "Black Tea" The paper is new sanzen tomoe river. The words written on the page are the lyrics to "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers
I let this pen sit for a while because the nib was super stiff & dry despite the nib being the v-flex nib with an ebonite feed
I decided to give it another go because I'm a sucker for a pretty pen
A floss of the tines and a couple of pages of writing and it's like the nib broke in - it's great now
I started my day off awaking to a spider *in* my bed sheets.

Ahhh, thank you! I've been practicing a lot lately 😊

I was considered the medium SIG - the one I tried had killer line variation
But, alas, I prefer my hand writing when its on the finer side
I hope you get to try an EF soon!
I tried to do a low-buy this year and failed spectacularly within the first few months 😩
I hope you have better luck with it than I 🤞🏻
I keep saying that and then somehow new ink still shows up!
Wild how that can happen 🤭

I am sure a lot of people have heard this by now, but leaving it here in case someone hasn't
A fountain pen ink swatch on new sanzen tomoe river paper. The writing was done with an extra fine pelikan m1000 nib and the swirl with a dip pen. The text reads: Diamine 'Rosewood' "I—'ave—marched—six—weeks in 'Ell an' certify It—is—not—fire—devils, dark, or anything, But boots—boots—boots—boots— movin' up an' down again, An' there's no discharge in the war!" Excerpt from "Boots" by Rudyard Kipling

I try - the crunch of an M1000 nib inside a cap will continue to live on only in my nightmares, thankfully 🙌🏻
Yup, the #8 bock nib in the photo is the one that came with the pen!
I did actually remove the finial and use my dremel to make the part that sits inside of the cap more concave just in case haha
The tines were definitely going to mash into the finial if I didnt deepen the nib channel on the grip so it would screw all the way in 🫣
If it was in the pelikan housing the nib would be seated deeper - in the FNF Pelikan to Bock housing it sits to be about the same length as a bock #8
Also no one should do any of this unless you're willing to break your pen or nib 💀
I am just insane apparently.
But it worked out.
So I had to take a dremel and *very carefully* deepen the area in the grip where the housing would sit.
I also bent the nib doing all of this (because something else had to go wrong lmfao) and had to fix that and then heat set the feed to the nib a billion times to get the ink to flow.
Like actually such a pain - the FNF housing wasn't wide enough to house the M1000 nib and feed so I had to carefully sand down the inside of housing bit by bit until it fit...
And then the housing wouldn't screw into the pen grip due to the extra length of the M1000 feed sticking out the bottom.

Getting this nib into this pen was a nightmare. But I did it. And I love it.
