it's not a personal failing that i can sometimes only draw once a week or month and come home every day exhausted from a job i'm not even meant for. that's the result of an economic system that has fantastically failed to support the average adult.
i'm trying to not beat myself up because the responsibilities of modern adult self-sufficiency, from chores to day jobs to errands to taking care of family/friends, is a major reason why a lot of us have little time to ourselves for creative things.
the thing they don't tell you about life is that in many cases, all those Great Men of the past who found all that time and energy to do their creative work that made them famous also often didn't have to do their own dishes or spend the better part of their weeks at a shitty day job.
