One good thing about the Middle East conflict is people pretending they know what the Strait of Hormuz is. You can drop it casually into conversation to sound impressive. “I think you’ll find it’s all about the Strait of Hormuz.” You can even call it “Strait of Hornuz “, and nobody notices.

I enjoy the Knowing Me… DVD commentary where Armando Iannucci says Alan hasn’t turned up because “he’s got bats.”
If I were a brasher, wealthier person, I’d yell things like “More Weetabix, garçon!” across crowded restaurants.
But I do have similar issues with the universe of Partridge. If Alan’s world is the reality, was he knowingly participating in a self-humiliating satire in The Day Today?
Is Waterloo Blah set in an alt-universe where Eight Out Of Ten Cats doesn’t exist? And if so, how do I get there?
A wretched moggy kips.
Andy has been with us for just over three weeks now. We’ve decided to forgive him for his shortcomings.
“Rey effective”. Snort! Very.
I’ve seen a chunk of ep 3 only (in the day job) and quite liked it but felt it could go bobbins, as I think Code Of Silence did. But it is. Rey effective at making you think, “How would I deal with him if our paths crossed?”
Or “Wot’s… uh, the deal?” if you will.

Adam Curtis is as much of a good media collagist as anything else, whose work I enjoy on that level. He seems to have given up trying to form cogent thoughts out of disparate sources with his latest (Shifty, Player), or as much style as before. But…
