In the meantime -- staying active and engaged in the conversation is a HUGE benefit. Encouraging friends and those who are not as politically engaged to at LEAST pay more attention and keep an eye on what Democrats are talking about and what they're working on. LOTS more to come.
We must support Democratic House (and Senate) candidates --- BUT ALSO, press those candidates to commit to respecting the will of the people.
Republicans speak with open contempt about the will of the people -- and so, that must be one of the main threads of conversation.
While efforts like that of @respectmovoters.org are a great step, -- the GOP majority has demonstrated they are no longer stewards of Democracy nor the rule of law. They believe they are even capable of undermining and attacking an active, existing constitutional amendment. (i.e. abortion rights)
This was a complete and total betrayal of the working families of Missouri. It also represents a further deterioration and weakening of our state's democracy.
The Republican conference must be removed from the majority. The people of Missouri must decide whether and how this betrayal is answered.
