How many of my friends here have deleted their Facebook accounts? It is feeling so toxic on there.

Just had a delightful conversation with Jude Treder-Wolff for her podcast Improv in Real Life. Can't wait for it to come out!

Second post today, because I am on a roll. If u are feeling overwhelmed, are glued to ur phone & the socials, and are feeling depleted & hopeless...get this book. It is beautifully written. I am right in the middle of reading it. Thinking of making it suggested reading for my climate comedy course.
Ok, I have been remiss in my BSky postings. If you are interested in climate comedy, here is the first of three postings today. Celebrating with Izzy, ecology lecturer at UCL, how bringing my Sustainable Stand Up course in for UCL students won a Sustainable teaching award.

My handwritten notes sketching out the design of my in-person workshop in Berlin tomorrow on humour. This follows an interactive discussion with the fabulous Thomas Coombes.
A sneak peak of the design for my interactive workshop just after the discussion & q&a with the fab Thomas Coombes. To book, go here www.dokumentale.de/de/programm/...
I wrote an invitation to my liberal friends who are so angry that they are blasting MAGA defectors. It is an invitation for alignment, rooted in compassion. open.substack.com/pub/belinara...
Lovely. No notes.
In-person, in #Berlin next Friday, 13 June?
Thomas Coombes (the hope guy) & I are exploring The Power of Positivity: #Humor & #Hope in Communication.
After, I am giving a one hour, hands on workshop, sharing some of the magic of finding the funny.

My sunlit balcony with a small table and two chairs. On the ledge are pots of purple and red flowers, glowing in the morning sun.
Got my second (seasonal) office going this morning. Going through the lovely, powerful stuff I have been learning in the Human Systems Dynamics Professional certification course. Extraordinary body of work and so aligned with what I have been doing. Happy morning everyone xx
Interesting piece just out by Al Jazeera English on that town that the orange cheeto dropped the 'Mother of All Bombs' on in Afghanistan in 2017.
Oh, what could we experience if power was with the peacemakers instead of with the traumatised bullies?

Poster from our show
Me smiling on stage. I am wearing a white shirt and colourful scarf.
Our sold out Sustainable Stand Up course show at UCL (University College London). Been running this compassionate climate comedy course for 10 years. Delightful to work with these undergrad and grad students. Pic of me by Fang, one of the students.
Me and my fella doing a selfie in Cambridge with the famous Mathematical Bridge in the background. My fella is a bit older than me, is wearing glasses and an olive green top. I am rocking my newly cut short hair and am wearing a colourful scarf and black puffer jacket because it was cold. We are both smiling.
Just came back from exploring Cambridge with my fella. It was here that he cracked the science of how to shift slash-and-burn farmers in the humid tropics to regenerative, organic agroforestry. The Inga Foundation work is so extraordinary & healing for the planet.
Landscape diagram from Human Systems Dynamics, with certainty on one axis and agreement on the other.
I am sitting w a question inspired by Glenda Eoyang in our Human Systems Dynamics course here in Singapore. What happens in the sustainability space if we stop trying to force things into the stable space, but instead get good at making wise actions and adapting in the unstable & emergent space?
Berlin to London. London to Bristol Parkway. Bristol Parkway to the bird reserve Slimbridge. Let’s do this! :)
Makes the project I helped design and deliver connecting Tchibo coffee suppliers in Honduras and Guatemala with the Inga Foundation to restore degraded soil, create food security, diversification in crops, and many other benefits all the more timely:)
Thank you @Paatuga for your repost:)
I put bits of paper on a string. The papers are of the Training in the preliminaries’ Buddhist slogans.
Image of the book ‘Training in Compassion’ by Norman Fischer.
Felt drawn to make this aide-memoire for chapter one’s Training in the preliminaries’ :) Who else has worked with these slogans?
Why didn’t we elect @warren.senate.gov for president again? She is awesome and fighting the good fight.
When you spend most of your dream trying to bring water to a desperate out- of-water fish, and you finally find a container filled with water to put it in, it’s time to drink more water in real life.
Hilarious. And agreed. Not so much motivating as freaky.
Cold enough to have skaters on the lake today. The upside of all this uncertainty is my meditation practice and nature communing have gone up. What are you doing to keep yourself grounded and centred? Expansive even?
When you find out that the compassionate climate comedy course you created and have been running for 10 years is eerily resonant with two seminal (10th and 12th century) Buddhist texts. Who here is ready to ‘resolve to begin’? :)
Thank you for your repost @jilles.bsky.social 💐
Today's self-care involved padding around the corner to my favourite local cafe, and having a matcha latte, a piece of divine espresso cake, and reading the book on compassion that arrived today in the post. Looking for gems to put in my course starting 15 April. :)
