If it’s “women get stuck with an unequal amount of the domestic chores”. Yup, pretty typical. It took us a while to find a fair balance - really it was me listening (admittedly slowly), adjusting and doing more.
San Diego.
If you stay near the Gaslamp you can do a ton without renting a car, despite it being CA.
The other part is the driver accelerated just before impact. IMO breaks the causal chain.
I think we’re seeing a runaway that hates musk and Tesla.
The drivers story, which Tesla adopted, was that he dropped his phone.
The daily reports on this case (L360) indicate P
Was really hammering on the use of “autonomous” when its driver assisted.
I still didn’t think jury would find liability, but what do I know from across the continent.
(Something witty about the escaping tendency of effective pressure)
And what’s the 2nd? It for sure ain’t the Rico cases.
The CA lemon law Atty’s have filed their motion to dismiss Ford’s Rico action.
Interesting to me: signed by @nealkatyal.bsky.social (among others.)

Pouring one out for Ozzy - his music has been a presence in my life for half a century. 🤘
One of the name atty, Jacob Emrani, is the quintessential “billboard attorney”. Super heavy ad rotations in my neck of SoCal.
The gist is Uber alleges the Atty’s refer their clients to a preferred spinal surgeon, who treats on a lien basis, provides medically unnecessary services, and “charges” grossly inflated amounts, all because Uber drivers have high limit policies.
Basically, every PI case ever.
New suit by Uber - they are doing the RICO against two fairly well known PI firms in CA - DTLA Law and Jacob Emrani. Interestingly, lead counsel is former us atty Tara McGrath, who just joined Perkins Coie

Voice of “been in the same spot”: use it only when you have to, as painful as it is/can be.
Came in handy to have some left when my son decided to take 8 units this summer.
That is a firm IT test email in my world - insta report.
I don’t think my own NorCal peers use it nearly as much as I have and have seen.
You’re a much later gen than me, tho.
You are officially SoCal now, dude.
My firm pays for it as part of our Lexis package.
I like it, candidly, but not for political adjacent reporting - the “from the courtroom” stories are solid, and the big law movement / shaming news are somewhat interesting and not really available elsewhere. And they link.
Would not pay tho.
Does the US Attorney General have to be a lawyer?
Adulting isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, but this is still a cool milestone.
What happened to the “former defense attorney”? Disbarred or suspended.
Also, that’s a remarkably cheap bribe.
Not ruining this perfection with my like.
