RIPAlfred Brendel. His artistic integrity always came through regardless of composer or style. He dug deep into each score, was detail oriented and his performance had such a pure quality. I’ve turned to his interpretations for inspiration and guidance countless times. His recordings live on.
Austrian pianist Alfred Brendel has died at the age of 94. A major performer of Beethoven, Schubert and Haydn, he leaves behind a large recording legacy:

One of my pet peeves: people sharing too much on fb, IG or wherever. Congratulating themselves and/or indulging in self pity in some grandiloquent manner. That includes people posting their practice videos, by the way. Trying not to look at or read those, but often hard to avoid 😜
