It's somehow worse when it's a democrat, especially one like Schumer. If he sends another Strongly Worded Letter I'm gonna be completely bald.
@atrupar.com your posts always stress me tf out. You take all of the stuff out there, the nonsense that is buffered by other nonsense, and distill it into the pure core "wtf" that makes me want to tear what's left of my hair out. Keep up the good work. 😆
Made the mistake of taking a big bite of dinner right when you explained Boebert's um, attitude about releasing the Epstein files. Had to hit pause and get things under control before quesadilla came out my nose. Excellent job this week, I really enjoyed your hosting and hope to see more!
Looks like it's time to bomb some brown people.
This construction just bugs the heck out of me coming from people who can *not* say things that way. (I know you, Kai, are waaaaaay better than most, and I appreciate it!)
"Am I having a stroke?"
I've even said this before, even to you: were ya been all this time? This is not new. And I *know* you know it.
What's only slightly less annoying, though, are people who – again after 10+ years of this bullshit – still act shocked when they see it.
What is happening, Kai? The same thing that has been happening for 10+ years. Journalists – public media as much as anyone – are doing what they always do.
"strains bounds of propriety", "said, without evidence", "falsely claimed"

"improper and illegal" and "lied"
Pope Impossible* IV
*burger, with Swiss cheese and guacamole. But "Pope Impossible" is way cooler.
New title: Syph Lord Cheeto
I've been calling him #DarthCheeto for years. So glad to see him step into the role. (Not sure which is more dangerous: offending Catholics or offending Star Wars nerds...)
@nytpitchbot.bsky.social I think you have confused your "New York Times Pitchbot" account with your "Karoline Leavitt Pitchbot" account.
Or:
They change the rules, do whatever they want, we don’t stop them. When we try to behave the same way, they somehow manage to effectively stop us.
I mean, seriously: do we not remember how Mitch McConnell handled Obama‘s Supreme Court nomination versus Trump‘s in a similar situation?
As if it matters.
“Even though the rules now allow us to go low, we really should consider going high. We should lead - slowly - by example. Is that OK with you, Republicans? If not we can work something out, i.e. capitulate on everything.”
The evil will definitely live after him, but slim pickings on any good to be interred with his bones.
Weird, they seem to know their Roman salutes tho
I finally realized it was a blood vessel in my neck beating against the fabric of my sleeping bag. In the silence of theses places, it was really loud!
One night I was CONVINCED there was somebody slowly but steadily walking around my truck, taking regular steps as they figured out how best to break in and chop me into pieces.
I often camp out in the middle of the high desert, and while I know where I am there probably isn't anything larger than a coyote out there (or humans...or skinwalkers) yet I am still paranoid in my half-sleeping brain.
Dr. Pepper and scotch, yeah, but man, homemade blueberry lemon cookies and scotch (or bourbon)? Yummm...
The answers are in his reply: he would have to be recalled and promoted. Trump would do it between holes at the golf course, problem solved.
We know better than this by now.
"don't think they'll touch banks - don't want to cause a run."
It's difficult to hear such talk these days, as if 1) they'd even comprehend the concept, 2) they could imagine their actions being wrong, 3) they would care, 4) they have money, so, so what? and 5) as if they don't thrive on the chaos.
Mitch is horrible and has done, allowed, or enabled a lot of bad stuff, but I feel like much of it was made possible because somebody had spent decades cultivating millions of fertile minds.
Uh I'm with the folks mentioning Murdoch. Somewhere high up on the list needs to be whoever weaponized gerrymandering. And Mitch, for sure.
Slight tweak
Louis XIV? L'etat, c'est moi
Edit: I should have said "didn't overlap quite so entirely", of course. Some of those that work forces have always...
