In that case, remove the caps, and go at the keyboard with a vacuum cleaner. That will remove a LOT of crud and cruft already. There's a good chance that this will be enough to return it to a usable state. If not... Yeah, then I'd go for isoprop as well.

If you can take the caps off just put them in a colander and put that into a bowl of warm soapy water. Mix and stir for a few minutes then drain and rinse. Let dry. Better than factory!
