Ask your older neighbors if they have any fruit trees you can help them pick and setup a plan to help them throughout the season. They’re almost certain to share.

Also reach out to the cooks in your circle. You can barter ingredients for finished food.

I’d love to hear other suggestions!

We expect our grocery stores to be stocked with ripe strawberries, peppers far beyond their regular season. Learn more about your growing season and learn the preserve your favorite foods so that you can enjoy them for a longer season without transporting them halfway around the world. (4/5)

Get involved with gardening groups locally and find out who’s overproducing things you want and barter for them with the stuff you grow. It’s hard work being 100% self sufficient, it’s a lot easier if you’re working with people who are like minded. (3/5)

Not everyone has the time or the space to garden which is why I said “We are on our own”. Find a friend who’s busy but has a decent yard & offer to grow produce for both of your families. Cannabis grow equipment also can work beautifully for growing vegetables indoors. (2/5)

I can’t stress enough how important it is that everyone be looking critically at their food costs and planning for the next few years.

Food costs are not coming down. We are on our own if we want to control those costs. Get planning a garden & a diet that puts you in the driver seat. Some ideas 👇

Donald Trump has just released a national under 18 trans care ban executive order. I am working through specifically how it tries to do this, and will live tweet here section by section as I read through it.

It is not yet on the website, but has been released via press release.

I am really digging the idea of UBS. It creates a framework where more can be added / services can evolve over time.

Makes sense. I do wonder what happens to the traditional markets as they go through transition from being a B>C to a B>G>C.

Farming is a rough business that involves a lot of risk. Huge shifts in how markets behave affect willingness to take those risks.
