I am happy to receive a response to my inquiry from USPS that the Park Slope postal station facility has re-opened. I appreciate the agency's attention on this matter and for hearing my call to expedite repairs.

The consequences? Murder, excessive force, and outrageous lawlessness.
The slush fund Republicans gave to ICE exponentially increased the damaging dragnet.
Because of all this, ICE must be abolished.
No surprise that ICE prioritized rapid hiring & expedited training to execute Trump’s mass deportation agenda — with a $50k signing bonus.
The outcome? Watered-down background checks & a selection of underqualified agents, including officers with misconduct histories in prior law enforcement roles.
Eliminating access to care for children who have already endured so much trauma is profoundly inhumane. We should be expanding these services, not cutting them out of spite.
But Donald Trump only knows spite, not compassion.
Pope Leo advocated for an end to the war in Iran. How did Donald Trump respond? By calling him names and cancelling $11 million in funding for Catholic Charities to provide shelter and basic necessities to migrant children.
The Trump admin believes it is a crime to speak out against the President, and (correctly) identify his criminal activity.
Yet another example of authoritarianism.
If whistleblowers aren’t protected — especially in the intelligence community — abuses of power will remain unknown and unchecked.
FEMA is a life-saving agency, and its funding should never be politicized and held hostage to Trump’s political whims.
Unlike Trump’s $300m golf trips or Noem’s $200m ad campaign, disaster response is an absolute necessity that deserves funding.
Trump’s plan to gut FEMA was senseless & indefensible. The admin is backtracking & recognizing how absurd it was to fire its chief for defending the agency’s existence.
Republicans are more committed to cutting taxes for billionaires than taking care of our children.
When will they listen to the American people and pass common sense gun safety legislation to prevent these mass killings?
Yet another devastating and deadly mass shooting. I am praying for the victims, their families, and the entire Shreveport community.
Let’s be real: these mass shootings are preventable and therefore are a political issue.
Georgia, Arizona, and now Michigan. Trump and his cronies are attempting to rewrite history in order to dictate the future.
The DOJ’s pattern is clear: undermine trust, consolidate power, and open the door to election interference.
We must end this effort to take over our free and fair elections.
But Lyons’ resignation changes nothing if he’s replaced by another Trump loyalist focused on lawlessly targeting immigrants trying to do things the right way — the opposite of the “worst of the worst.”
Americans are tired of the abuse of power. Dems will stand firm in demanding accountability.
Under the leadership of Todd Lyons, ICE gutted its training, allowed agents to wear masks and act with impunity, and directed those secret police officers to randomly demand proof of citizenship and search homes without a warrant.
Congratulations Assemblymember @keithpowersnyc.bsky.social on a wonderful office warming event! I’m excited to partner with Keith to ensure our districts have the resources they need.
Thrilled to continue this beautiful Earth Week with Friends of Corlears Hook Park and New York City Department of Design and Construction with a full cleanup and 90 plantings. We must continue to invest in our beautiful green spaces so that families and neighbors can continue to enjoy them.
It was an honor to speak at the Heroes of Democracy Gala alongside Alex Vindman, founder Garry Kasparov, and so many leaders who have risked so much to defend freedom.
I’m committed to doing my part in Congress to defend our Constitution, protect the right to vote, & ensure no one is above the law.
I led more than 30 Members of Congress in demanding answers about how facial recognition and social media surveillance tools are being used by Palantir to collect personal data and target individuals for deportation.
We need answers. Now.
The Trump administration is using your taxpayer dollars to pay Palantir to spy on Americans, all in service of fueling ICE’s inhumane deportation dragnet. This type of mass surveillance is an egregious violation of civil liberties and cannot be tolerated.
New Yorkers will not foot the bill for the environmental harm caused by the oil and gas industry. My message is simple: clean up your own damn mess.
Climate change is an existential and urgent threat to the future of our planet. But instead of acknowledging this reality, Republicans in Congress are attempting to pass legislation to block New York’s Climate Change Superfund Act.
Masked ICE agents have been emboldened to attack Americans & our immigrant neighbors without accountability from the Trump admin.
@governor.ny.gov is right to propose a ban on masks for law enforcement. My No Secret Police Act would do it nationwide & is the basis for negotiations on the DHS bill.
Trump is dangerously unstable, and millions of innocent lives are at risk because of it. Congress must act immediately.
Our maniacal President is threatening the annihilation of the entire Iranian people.
We have to reconvene Congress immediately to properly address the madman in the White House and Congress must reassert its authority through a War Powers Resolution.
My office has been made aware of a USPS Postal Station closure in Park Slope at 7th Ave. USPS is conducting repairs after a fire extinguisher exploded in the facility. My team is working hard to get USPS to expedite repairs so that nearby stations are relieved of overcrowding.
We will not stand by and let this administration or anyone strip away their dignity, humanity or their rights.
From the Stonewall Rebellion to the Compton Cafeteria Riots, trans people have always been at the forefront of the fight for equal rights in this country. On this Trans Day of Visibility, I will continue to uplift the trans community.
Please contact my office if you have any immigration concerns.
As ICE continues to terrorize our immigrant communities, it’s more important than ever that you know your rights and the resources available to you.
I was proud to join Assemblymember Marcela Mitaynes to provide this crucial information. New York won’t turn its back on our immigrant neighbors.
In the triage center at my Manhattan office, I have a list of people we are working to free from unlawful ICE detention.
Today, I wiped the 27th name off that list. Every release is a real victory. And we’re not stopping here.
Those who reside near contaminated sites deserve our unwavering commitment to improving the safety and health of their environment, and I appreciated hearing from those in the community affected by these issues.
