The WaPo editorial board when Republicans gerrymander in Texas versus when Democrats gerrymander in Virginia.

every conservative political complaint comes back to "those people shouldn't count because they disagree with me"

Indeed. Complaints about redistricting are invalid. Republicans did it everywhere and invalidated a Constitutional Amendment so they could do it on explicitly racial lines.

There are two choices: use the same levers of power as Republicans do, or let them win. There is no "principled" opposition.

Alright, I’m home now so here’s the Norm update. Yesterday at 4pm, I got a text from a family I’ve been helping who had a loved one abducted a couple of days after Renée Good’s murder. This was the family that Norm Nation kept from being evicted (and you delivered). ICE had released their loved one.

People who were openly rooting for a president-for-life a year ago mad about gerrymandering sounds like you’re just losers who don’t like losing

Holy fuck, when the satire is outpaced by the reality, this is truly a lost cause.

The Internet’s Favorite Lawyer Says We’re Living Through ‘Multiple Watergates per Week’ Devin Stone turned punchy legal explainers into a YouTube empire. Now he’s warning that the sheer volume of Trump administration scandals is distorting reality itself.

It's official, I'm the "Internet's FAVORITE lawyer" (emphasis mine). Can't be argued. It's just science. www.wired.com/story/the-bi...

Trump is too deranged to continue in office Republicans can no longer deny the depth of the president’s cognitive decline and should act for the good of the party

Why am I not reading columns (and editorials) like this in the U.S. press? Even our pundits are cowards. 1/2 www.thetimes.com/comment/colu...

nothing bothers me more than a good setup that isnt spiked, all anyone needed to do here was ask if he thought Donald Trump would summon him if he didnt give the economy an A

It absolutely came up. They were, as always, projecting when they mentioned "snowflake", etc.

The open, accepting people are unlike them. They got traumatized by love and empathy.

I'm going to want to see every single Trump post highlighted like this in the future. With better colors, of course. But it really gives you a sense of how out there he is.

I will say that a First Amendment pocket square would have gone perfectly with Afroman's American flag suit. 😂

(1/X) People sometimes wonder how things got so crazy in this country. Well, look back at the '90s: for Clinton impeachment, you had Alan Dershowitz on Geraldo arguing against impeachment and Jon Turley arguing for it. All three of course became Trumpers.

On various topics around feminism....

Why make a big announcement that you're becoming a fascist when you've been doing and saying fascist things for at least a decade?

We already know.

If only someone (you) hadn't spent decades creating an authoritarian movement out of the GOP that allowed Trump to step into and take over.

You wanted machine authoritarianism, and are upset that a dictator usurped your plans.

There have been tons of times where I've just started explaining things in DC without changing up my tone and people have interrupted me in shock to confirm what I was saying.

"Oh that's what you find surprising? That they mislead the public on their press releases? That's just a typical Tuesday."

Seems to me like Trump is desperately begging Iran to sign a replica of the Obama JCPOA he tore up. All for the low low price of thousands dead, global instability, high energy prices, and a toll on ships through the once-free strait of Hormuz.

While all of those are bad, none of them are the same as access journalism.

1 day ago 2 0 0 0

As I've said forever, access journalism is the reason. They want the access for the "scoops", so they kowtow.

But you don't read the replies, so what does it matter? You'll ask the question again in a month as though the answer isn't blindingly obvious.
