The part nearest the North Stand is far noisier than it used to be.

Name John Peel's favourite Roy Orbison song...
I hope similar assessments are made when Elland Road is redeveloped. Football grounds are living entities on match days.
Over the last few seasons, the West Stand has become quite lively. It would be a pity if it was lost when it's demolished.

Amidst the Mandelson brouhaha and kerfuffle a metric that really matters - real wages are rising.
Removing my white tinted glasses. On reflection, you're correct.
I just don't think Farke or the players are getting the credit they deserve.
An "opportunity" for a team that hasn't won in the league for 15 games or at home this year facing a team that just won at Old Trafford and has drawn at Brentford, Chelsea, Villa, Everton, Liverpool and Sunderland?
Who writes such ill informed shite?

Agree.
Indeed.
That's a fair point.
The sad reality is that everyone knew Mandelson was deeply compromised.
However, he potentially had the skill set and contacts to deal with the POTUS. Rightly or wrongly, the national interest trumped the victims of Epstein.
Sometimes, it's better not to know the contents of a sausage.
A team that's just won at Old Trafford and drawn at Chelsea, Brentford, Villa, Everton, Liverpool and Sunderland? A team that doesn't need to win?
If Carlsberg did optimism.
That implies a Burnley win at Elland Road.
I don't want to be trudging up Lowfields Road on next Friday night after losing.
You'll be saying blackboards are no longer used...
It was a charavteristically facile remark.
A no phones in schools policy can have one terrible side effect for teachers.
Imagine having to supervise the children all day 'cos they can't contact their parents on a snow day.
My hope that West Ham stay up at the expense of Spurs is entirely based on the wonderful Hammers fan on Propaganda.
Come on, you Irons.

I had the honour of meeting four World War 2 GIs in Bastogne in Belgium in 1984. They were there to revisit the site of The Battle of the Bulge.
They were charming, gracious, self effacing and modest - delightful men.
In contrast to Donald Trump. I have little doubt that the GIs would despise him.
I feel sorry for the Tory and Labour activists who bust a gut to get Lee Anderson* and Zarah Sultana elected.
I doubt whether they knew both of them were unbearable grandstanding wazzocks at the time.

It's becoming clear Starmer's days are numbered. I doubt he'll stand in the next GE
Labour could do worse than look at Mayor Mamdani in New York. A politician who obviously enjoys the job and likes the people he serves.
Only Darren Jones is similar in those who may succeed Starmer IMHO.
Neither Farage or Badenoch have any evidence that they can successfully lead an organisation.
Farage has a history of leading groups of grievance driven malcontents until he gets bored and Badenoch is an angry, short tempered gobshite.
It might not be like Bristol City last season but hopefully there'll be something to celebrate.
On the plus side, I've a ticket for the Burnley game!!!
That a Labour government is held to a far higher standard than a Tory one is as disgraceful in 2026 as it was in 1924.
Well done. I'm not so fortunate but very happy a real fan is occupying one of the seats.
Enjoy.
Doesn't look like success in the ballot for tickets.
I'll try again for the final.

To quote Ray Davies "It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world" when some of those calling for the resignation of the UK PM are huge fan boys and girls of a US President who cannot tell the truth, even if he tries.
Good luck to the lad. Hope his hard work is rewarded.
The difference between Richard Tice and Angela Rayner is that Tice knew exactly what he was doing. Rayner was in completely uncharted waters relying on the wisdom of others.
I thought I'd hate it but it's been brilliant, mostly.
We've punched way above our weight.
