Shouldn't... this assumes these are cell lines. Primary cells may change their binding during passaging.

Depends... are the dishes being reused, or are cells replated on fresh dishes?

Have been talking to many students in the last few weeks about this. I was curious about how volunteering is viewed and the impact this has.

Query : As a graduate student, how often are you involved in any volunteering work during your PhD ?

Often, Occasionally, Never?

None of this would have been possible but for the funding support for the study from ANRF (SERB) and IISER,Pune. Arnav was supported by a PMRF fellowship and Tushar by a DST INSPIRE Scholarship.

Golgi senses ECM stiffening in breast cancer cells Breast tumour progression is accompanied by extracellular matrix (ECM) stiffening, which remodels the cytoskeleton and promotes invasion. Here, Nagaraj Balasubramanian and colleagues (Saha et al., 202...

Thanks for highlighting this study @jcellsci.bsky.social

Differential AXL expression and Arf1 regulation control stiffness-dependent Golgi organization in breast cancer cells Highlighted Article: An AXL-Arf1-Golgi signaling axis is a key mechanosensitive pathway that regulates Golgi organization and function, potentially linking matrix stiffness to tumor progression in bre...

Great to see this study from the lab now in print. The differential expression of AXL, and its regulation of Arf1 expression and activation, controls Golgi organization in breast cancer cells in a stiffness-dependent manner.
