Directament.

Això és així.

Particle physicists rely heavily on statistics in our research; we deal with large amounts of data. The Combine tool in CMS is the go-to statistical tool for CMS. This highlight of 2024 #CMSPaper describes Combine using the statistics of the Higgs boson discovery 👉 https://buff.ly/3ywtCPz

Recently took a peek at Twitter and the disinformation is getting substantially more dangerous. Someone could get killed.

The tactics of constantly repeating outright lies, targeting specific people, repurposing years-old footage and presenting them as new is getting to another level. It’s scary.

Scientists Uncover Hidden Pattern in Quantum Chaos
Scientists Uncover Hidden Pattern in Quantum Chaos YouTube video by Sabine Hossenfelder

Physicists have for the first time measured a “quantum scar”, that is a quantum effect which deviates from chaos. Why does this matter and what could it be good for? Let’s take a look.

Making Waves in the Debate over Light-Induced Superconductivity New experiments with cuprate materials explore a connection between so-called charge-density waves and a light-induced state that resembles superconductivity.

Cuprate materials exposed to intense pulses of light appear to superconduct fleetingly above their critical temperatures. New research does not confirm the superconductivity but it does relate the light-induced state to another phenomenon: charge-density waves.

Me: it’s from an intermediate mass black hole orbiting a supermassive black hole in the plane of the AGN disk.

When did we start using the term 'logical qubit'?

I just went through a few old papers to see if I could find the first use.

In 1995, Peter Shor had k qubits he wanted to store and nine that contain the encoding. But the word 'logical' does not appear.

The New Quantum Era | Dual-rail superconducting qubits with Rob Schoelkopf Welcome to another episode of The New Quantum Era, hosted by Sebastian Hassinger and Kevin Rowney. Today, we have the privilege of speaking with Dr. Robert Schoelkopf, Sterling Professor of Applied...

Rob Schoelkopf predicts that using dual-rail superconducting qubits (for which most errors are detectable) will reduce the overhead cost of quantum error correction by "orders of magnitude."
