Making Waves in the Debate over Light-Induced Superconductivity New experiments with cuprate materials explore a connection between so-called charge-density waves and a light-induced state that resembles superconductivity.

Cuprate materials exposed to intense pulses of light appear to superconduct fleetingly above their critical temperatures. New research does not confirm the superconductivity but it does relate the light-induced state to another phenomenon: charge-density waves.

When did we start using the term 'logical qubit'?

I just went through a few old papers to see if I could find the first use.

In 1995, Peter Shor had k qubits he wanted to store and nine that contain the encoding. But the word 'logical' does not appear.
