No Kings Day in Trenton… On Saturday, March 28, I found myself at the third day that "No Kings" events were held, this time in Trenton, New Jersey, of all places.  I realize that Trenton seems like a really random place for me to go to attend one of these things, but I promise you that it makes sense.  Every time that there have been "No Kings" events, I have already been out for other events that were planned ahead of time, and worked No Kings into them.

Welp, I tried. Explored all over the menu at Sheetz looking for something new and exciting, and at the end of it all, I still ended up with my autism food. #sheetz #autismfood

Something about going through the men's department of an upscale department store just makes me want to dance around and sing about certain magical incantations. Don't know why. 🤷 #hocuspocusalimagocus #nordstrom #menswear #selfie

Dear Pepco: I don't care about a fresh new look on my power bill. I want new, much lower rates, but I suspect that I'm never going to get that. #pepco #getlost

DC Streetcar was a boondoggle from start to finish. No two ways about it. The fact that the X2/D20 bus always ran alongside it and completely duplicated it was quite telling.

Anyone know if the streetcar set a ridership record on its final day of service? I feel like there was a decent chance that it did.

Fortunately, the place that I was going to is fairly close to home, but still, that's an extra 30 minutes down the drain on account of forgetfulness.

Not one of my finer moments: got all the way out to a place where I was going to fly the drone, and discovered that I didn't have a memory card with me. So I had to go all the way back home to get it.

Thirty years of adventures… Recently, I changed the line beneath the logo from the site URL to the tagline “Thirty Years of Adventures”.  That change is consistent with what I’ve done for past anniversaries divisible by five, though this is completely new wording compared to what I’ve done for 10, 15, 20, and 25, which all said either “Celebrating […]

Me: "OK Google, what town am I in?"

Google: "I don't have your exact address, but it looks like you're in North America."

Thanks...

Looking at TV antennas on Amazon makes me wonder why most of them look like a certain kind of adult novelty item. #adultnovelties #tvantenna

I consider this to be one of my better comebacks to a misspelling. For reference, Doug Duncan was the County Executive in MoCo from 1994 to 2006. #misspelling #montgomerycountymd

Returning to Rogers… I am really looking forward to the first half of May.  That’s when Elyse and I are making a two-week trip to Rogers, Arkansas, where my family lived from February 1985 to August 1992.  Living in Rogers was a mixed bag, for sure.  Neither parent had particularly wanted to move to Arkansas in the first […]

Something tells me that I hit a nerve here. Never completely entrust your memories to a third party service, because they don't care about them like you do, and they can delete or otherwise lose them at any time, and you will be out of luck if you didn't retain copies. #trustnobody #makebackups

Hot take: the size of your business should have no bearing on what your minimum wage rate is. A small business should be required to pay the same minimum wage as the big dogs, and if they can't afford to do that, then they can't afford to be in business. #minimumwage

Yep - Vepco became Dominion Resources by way of Virginia Power. I've seen those poles around places before, and I love that the vintage name has survived in the wild. Much the same way that I love seeing vintage "Bell System" stuff from before the 1982 breakup here and there in the wild.
