Book cover of 14 by Peter Clines, featuring a close-up of a worn metal door secured with a padlock and latch, with the number “14” in large metallic numerals; tagline at top reads “A riveting apocalyptic mystery in the style of LOST.”
Vintage paperback cover of Rogue Moon by Algis Budrys, showing a cracked dark background with neon-like outlines of a suited figure and abstract shapes, including a glowing sphere and a human silhouette; text describes a man dying and being reborn to travel to the moon.
Worn red leather book titled Everybody’s Guide to Conjuring, with gold lettering and a small ornate hot air balloon emblem in the center; publisher listed as Madgwick, Houlston & Co., Limited.
The book collection grows. This time with a tiny pre-1900 book on magic tricks, a 1960 signed first edition of Rogue Moon by Algis Budrys, and the out of print 14 by Peter Clines.
Rogue Moon and 14 are my favourite sci-fi mystery books of all time and I’ve coveted copies for years.
