But I think the problem goes beyond media literacy: I’m looking at replies like “Killmonger is right and only seems wrong because the writers put some villainous words in his mouth” and it’s like…you realize Killmonger is a made up guy, right?

Every 5-10 years a new writer or series of things where people say funny things in otherwise non-comedic genres becomes popular enough every instance of "person being funny in media" is called "____esque." Immediately thereafter, the act of "being funny" in any context becomes bad for a few years.

People who know me have said I have no filter. Buddy, you have no idea how much of what I think I choose not to say.

It is deeply sickening that conservatives are literally complaining that tweens and teens aren't getting pregnant often enough.

Contrary to public perception a huge % of pregnant teenagers in the 1990s were impregnated by adult men. The younger they were, the larger the average age gap between mother and father was. Fixing teen pregnancy was in part a clampdown on statutory rape. That's what conservatives want to reverse.

The plan to demonize creativity, the arts and entrepreneurship while simultaneously shoving AI products down our throats that seemingly make 99% of things worse isn't going to work. We need the robots do the laundry while the people make stuff robots can't dream of. That's a good future.

Was stolen from my home, not my car.

Houseguest stole on his way out the door. I'm basically fucked out of two grand.

So... I'm out basically two grand, when you account for the stolen DSLR, lenses, and my Pi 400.

Nobody is going to donate that much for my piddly ass, nor should they be asked to.

So all I can do is bitch and moan about it, because I'm not allowed to just go get my shit back.

Oh great. The little fuck that stole my DSLR also sems to have stolen my telephoto lens (leaving the empty bag where I keep it!) and my boxed Raspberry Pi 400!
