Interestingly, these tattoos allowed the Garlean defectors who were adopted into the tribe the ability to manipulate aether, albeit in a much more limited capacity.

It was also common for people within the tribe to have most or all of their heads shaved, to allow for more tattoos on their heads.

Traditionally they would start around the eyes, granting a form of aethersight. As time went on they would be extended around the face and head, down the neck, and basically every inch of the body, ending at the soles of the feet.

Anyone with a full set of tattoos was regarded as a powerful mage.

Sullivan does not have the traditional tattoos of his people due to the Garlean invasion of Gyr Abania destroying his home before his coming of age ceremony, but here's how those tattoos worked.

They were full-body tattoos made with aether-conducting ink that basically served as leylines.

See, Sullivan's echo used to allow him to communicate with animals (I retconned it), so Beast Master probably would have been canon for him.

Sullivan grows his own medicinal weed for his chronic pain and both smokes it (in a pipe he bought in Kugane) and bakes it into cookies/brownies.

Sullivan is a pretty chill person when he's high. He gets kinda spaced out depending on how much he smokes/eats, though.

I love when dungeons have extra things going on, like interactable lore titbits, characters saying/doing things in the background (like all the background fighting in Hero's Gauntlet), interesting lore implications (Like Tender Valley), ect.

Pharos Sirius (normal and hard) is high on my list. The Lost City of Amdapor (normal and hard) is up there as well, as is Fractal Continuum (normal and hard), Smileton, Dead Ends, The Burn, Strayborough Deadwalk, ect...

I'll be honest I don't think there's a single dungeon in FFXIV that makes me regret getting it in roulettes because of the dungeon itself. Its more my party not knowing wtf is going on that stresses me out and I can never type fast enough to explain it.

Sullivan is naturally very curious and he spent much of his youth studying other races and cultures. He was shocked to discover that there were other nations across an entire ocean. It was all very humbling, in a way. It made him realize just how small his world was.

Sullivan's tribe was an isolated, underground offshoot of Duskwight and Garlean defectors who they adopted in. For the first year or so of his life he didn't know any other races existed. It wasn't until Gyr Abania fell and he and his mother fled to Ul'dah that he met other races.

I have had to take over as healer as dancer multiple times. The biggest "oh shit" example of this was in P9 when it first dropped, where only me, another dancer, and the 2 tanks were left standing. We managed to keep each other alive and we cleared it.

Back when Pandaemonium first dropped, I had a very hard time getting past P2 without dying. My biggest "oh shit" moments where when I was a pixel off on the platform, resulting in me "stepping in the water" and getting the debuff that kills you. It happened multiple times, every time.

I have completely forgotten to dance partner someone on multiple occasions, especially in normal raids/trials where the fight tends to start almost immediately if no one is in cutscenes. Gives me very little time to plan/think.

Sullivan tends to have an unsteady gait/stance due to missing most of his toes, sometimes resulting in him needing a cane to walk. Its gotten better now that he has prosthetics, but he still has bad days.

He also tends to walk slow.

He eventually died when he tried to consume Midgarsormr's eyes out of desperation, as the aetherial overload caused his physical form to vaporize.

He did have a run-in with a certain Scion, chasing him through the streets of Ishgard after he saw said person's archon marks, only giving up the hunt when his hunger for aether forced him to.

Sullivan became an aether-startved half anicent half voidsent, and quickly went insane. He hunted down not only Meteor and the Scions, but all of his friends and family as well, as he didn't want them to suffer.

In time, he became known as the Calamity Harbinger.

In the dark timeline, Sullivan encountered Emet-Selch, who weaponized Sullivan's grief and hatred for the Scions. He took Sullivan to the remaining shards and forcibly rejoined him with his shards to make him "Unsundered". Unfortunately, rejoining him with his voidsent turned him into a monster.

Mine was the Titanic Sawfish for that one Fisher quest.

I don't remember how long it took me to catch that stupid thing. I think I tried for at least a week. I was doing everything right, I was just extremely unlucky.

The Plague Doctor set and its recolor are my Healer and Red Mage glams but they are not canon to Sullivan at all. I just really like plague doctors and went through hell to get them so I refuse to change them.

I even farmed for the belts despite knowing they were being nuked from the game.

I should further clarify that I don't hate G'raha. I think his character is good, ect. I just like him in a strictly platonic way and I don't know if I'd ever ship an OC with him.

For some reason I just don't like SE-assigned boyfriend G'raha Tia the same way I like SE-assigned boyfriend Haurchefant. There's nothing wrong with G'raha, and honestly he's the kind of character that I /should/ like based on my track record, but I just don't like him that way.

Just remember that you're not anyone's therapist and that it is well within your right to have those boundaries if that's what makes you comfortable.

Of course I think its only natural to want to go to your friends for help or comfort, but no means no, and they need to respect that.

Reno Hikari is a healer who is just trying his best. Canonically he has never been to Eorzea and he actually lives in Kugane.

Rumors that he is in fact a merman with a beta's tail are not to be believed.

It hard to rate on a number scale because generally speaking, Sullivan has trouble dancing due to the fact that most of his toes are gone, and he can only really do this specific dance with any degree of skill or accuracy.

So maybe a 5.

Sullivan knows the Viennese waltz style in particular, as that's what was taught to him by both Francel and Aymeric in preparation for his first date with Haurchefant (that he didn't know was a date). Specifically, he knows how to dance to Merry-Go-Round of Life from Howl's Moving Castle.

I wanted Melanthios to be something of the opposite of Sullivan.

- Sullivan had dark purple eyes, Mel had sparkling opal eyes.
- Sullivan has cool-toned grey skin, Mel had warm-toned brown skin.
- Sullivan is incredibly anxious and shy, while Mel was more bold and outgoing.

Sullivan used to get manicures very often, but since he's been on the road, he's learned to do them himself. Estinien playfully teases him about it, then complains when Sullivan gives his nails a touch-up.
