In Iceland, on Christmas Eve, people give each other books so they can spend the evening drinking cocoa & reading. It’s called, Jolabokaflod, the Christmas book flood. I’ve never been more in love with Iceland than I am right now ♥️♥️
I once looked into different company awards for educational resources etc. They are quite expensive to enter. I had no idea companies pay to nominate themselves. 🤯
Teacher awards on the other hand are entirely free to nominate someone. So give someone a boost this year and drop them a nomination!
We don’t have a Business Manager of the year or Crossing Patrol of the year - are these roles less worthy?
I have worked with some truly dedicated and amazing teachers and none of them have been nominated for Teacher of the year / National Teaching Awards.
Every year this event comes around and well meaning luminaries pop up to festoon gongs on lucky folk.
