Terrible game for the Sixers, couldn't should or keep on to the ball. On the other hand this Boston team seems pretty bad to me. Sixers without Embiid is clearly worse, but I doubt their give up open threes defense will work against most teams.

First Quarter I think they messed up matching in transition a couple times too many, but not a complete disaster. Also a couple way too easy drives to the rim for the Jays.
The quality of the Threes also seems fairly high. Think the defense and ball security has been fairly poor though.
I have no idea what you are trying to say. What does Steak have anything to do with the have of scg?
I think you want them to win, because I don't think pivoting makes sense unless PG is seen as a more useful player. Best way for that to happen is he has a great Playoff series, some team sees him as a neutral asset. Otherwise too costly to dump this off-season.
Given Embiid is out, and Maxey's effectiveness is diminished with his finger injury, should the Sixers increase VJs on ball role in the Playin/offs? He has looked better later in the season doing so, but relying on a rookie seems unlikely to lead to many wins.
I mean, the Sixers could pull off a loss in that spot. Surely they aren't the only franchise in the NBA who could.
To keep doctors employed?
Hope Embiid is doing well, Appendicitis is unpleasant. Still extremely annoying the Sixers can never be healthy.
I don't know injury reporting deadlines, is it possible he was asleep when they had to report their decision so he couldn't be notified?
I really just want to see the team this fresh in a full first round series. Get VJ some real competitive playoff experience, think it would both be fun to watch and help the team moving forward.
That isn't absurd on the face of it, but they play a more physical aggressive defense than most teams as well.
Maybe even enough of a heater to give them a narrow two point lead.
There is a huge difference in net rating between 20th place Portland and 21st Memphis. -.5 to -4 roughly. Even if those bottom 10 teams aren't tanking, they are playing much worse than the top 20 teams. I don't know is historically that is normal or not though.
Given the number of tanking teams this year does Top 10 mean the same thing as usual? It isn't really the top third of the league, because only 20 teams are trying.
The Refs taking away multiple Sixers threes might have been the biggest plays though.
I think that is true of the Osty Attacks Subtheme. Everything else Necrobinder does is pretty defensive and I find synergizes well. Even Ethereal, which is mostly just play good cards, fits well without synergy since they are good cards that delete themselves.
Agreed better than most, but I think not high enough where I think he is immune to everything.
He has 10+ wins in 5/9 seasons.
Like Maxey will still be adjusting, have an off shooting night, and the Sixers lose by like 8.
Good to see Maxey close to a return. Also wondering if the Sixers run Embiid, PG, Maxey, VJ, Oubre, Barlow, Grimes, Bona and Watford or Edwards as the 9th guy. I would much rather have Edwards, think the spacing and defense is more valuable than Watford's playmaking.
Yeah, but they ran the team very well for the two decades roughly after that. But yes, they have prospered off of getting the number one pick in the right draft multiple times.
The period after Kawhi left they refused to tank for so long. Which is why I don't think they belong in the best run conversation, they took too long to pivot, and got little talent during that period.
SA languished for a decade until they lucked into Wemby. I am not certain they are well run. Not poorly, but I would put them middle of the pack for the last decade.
Nice to see the Sixers with Embiid and PG back. Unsurprisingly they look so much better with them both.
That FT% is actually insanely good. Also while the Shooting numbers from the field don't look fantastic, he is taking a lot of self created Midrange jumpers, and making a lot more than he did at the start of the year.
When PG returns, how will he be mixed into the offensive flow without Maxey and Embiid? Will the Sixers prioritize winning, or getting VJ experience as the lead ball handler? Or is it possible that those are one in the same.
Sixers win again, thanks to rebounding. Not a great game, but every win you take when you are this short on guys. Hope Barlow is alright.
They showed him stumbling walking back to the locker room.
Sixers audio is so far ahead of the video. I keep hearing a whistle, and having to wait a couple seconds to see for what.
