I hate that you have to debate about drawing stuff that may not interest you as much as your usual fare, but not for nothing, back when I used to post, having a twitter banner with a dick slangin’ on it definitely helped keep the chud count low. Whatever you decide to draw, it’ll be gorgeous!

I urge anyone in animation who can vote, to VOTE NO! In the agreement there are:

 No protections against studios training models on your art, No opt outs to working with AI, No limits to the portion of a production that can be produced by AI, No guardrails on how many jobs can be gutted in favor of AI Several things are being pitched as protections for artists which may in fact be wolves in sheep’s clothing: One portion of the agreement says that if an employee is displaced by AI, the employer has to either give displacement pay or sponsor job training, which sounds great at first, but the agreement says that ‘sponsored training’ can be simply teaching an artist how to use generative AI. There cannot be an either/or option if one of the choices is having a displaced artist download Midjourney and calling it a day. An additional clause will allow someone to get full credit/pay for producing work that includes AI, but because there is no cap on the portion of that work, it’s not a protection for artists, it’s a protection for prompt generators, plagiarizers, and companies who don’t want to say they use AI. While there are commendable portions of the agreement, if you let AI dissolve your junior and mid-level roles now, in 10 years you won’t have a well-trained body of senior staff, you won’t have a union, and you won’t have bargaining power in the future! Being weak on AI now will make all subsequent negotiations harder down the line.

Unfortunately, I can't vote on the TAG 2024 MoA, as the union I’m in is a subsidiary. But whatever pace is set in LA will have ramifications throughout the industry, even for people who can’t contribute to the process.

Now, unless you mean 'bad' as in 'I love the powerglove. It's so bad' I KNOW you're not talking about yourself. 😩🤌
