2-Minute Read. ChatGPT & Generative AI. When Students Use AI in Ways They Shouldn’t, Be Curious, Not Judgmental. By Jen Roberts.

When Jen Roberts / @jen.litandtech.com talks to students who she knows have turned in AI writing as their own work, she almost always starts with the same question:

“Tell me what happened here?”

The Research Paper Is Dead. Now What? Some thoughts on Stanford's STORM and Gemini's Deep Research

“Let’s be clear: research itself isn’t dead. Inquiry, analysis, and synthesis still matter. What’s obsolete is the performance of research—the idea that we can measure intellectual engagement by forcing students to produce a 10-page document that AI can generate in an instant.” #EduSkyAi #TLSky

Porto worked beautifully. My old Twitter posts were reposts from services like Zite and Feedly--those links didn't open.

Tried the "Porto" Chrome Extension and imported my Twitter archive to Bluesky (hence the 1K posts on my timeline now!). So much is outdated or the links are broken, but it was an interesting experiment nonetheless.

One of my colleagues has her students create a radio broadcast on a given topic from the era, including the content, sound effects, and an advertisement. I don't have a copy of her lesson plan, but I have helped her with the technology using Flip, but that is no longer an option.

We talk about the best AI...Ethan Mollick, Wharton School said, "But the real way to understand AI is to use it. A lot. For about 10 hours, just do stuff with AI that you do for work or fun. Poke it, prod it, ask it weird questions. See where it shines and where it stumbles." #tlsky #aiedu #edusky
