alternatively, do smth like what veilguard does in that it has a seperate cc for the inqusitor, and only include the basic cc stuff included in rs3, but that one feels like a lot of work for little pay off, plus it alienates a lot of people who use custom items to style their character

At /best/ I think if rs3 introduces a quest where the player gets a unique (face covering) armour, and a diagetic explination for wearing that armour at certain times, then you could possibly have a WG stand in in dragonwilds without needing to go hard on character creation
yes this is based on that one greenster theory floating about, if it has any merit i'd be very surprised if it isn't at least a bit inspired by the felt/doc scratch/lord english from homestuck
Why are we looking for him when he's already here?

I didn't intend for this to look a bit like a romance novel cover, but sometimes happy accidents happen

im still obsessed with the texture on the gecqua
a digital drawing of the pokemon gecqua from the upcoming pokemon wind and waves. gecqua stands upon a riverbed and faces left, one front claw outstretched upon a bit of rock poking out of the river. in the distant background are rocky and grassy outcroppings.
a digital drawing of the pokemon pombon from the upcoming pokemon wind and waves. the pokemon faces the right and is in mid run. it is running through a volcanic field of fire, smoke billowing in the background.
a digital drawing of the pokemon browt from the upcoming pokemon wind and waves. browt is facing the right and is mid stride over an exposed root. it is within a forest, surrounded by moss coloured trees.
decided to do some quick sketchy paintings of the gen 10 #pokemon starters. im probably going to finish them - i used gecqua as a guinea pig to test out some colouring techniques and had lots of fun LOL

pls you'll hold my hand and support me when i get mad at tedious combat
I play pretty exclusively on a custom world now, with slightly harder survival settings and combat settings set as easy as feasibly possible. I'm definitely having much more fun that way, but I'll see where mechanics go from here to see if it's worth it going back to my standard world in future
I think it doesn't help that I haven't played games like enshrouded or valheim, which it's clearly aiming to take inspiration from. I don't know how in depth the survival mechanics are for these games. My metric for survival games is the likes of vintage story, where resource management tops all
On the flipside, the combat still feels significantly overtuned and tedious, and just feels like a drag
(take what i say there with a grain of salt though. I despise dodge roll and timing mechanics in combat, and will be very glad to see gaming move on from that trend)
I wasn't on board with the very first change to the thirst mechanic, as it felt fine on release to me, and subsequent changes have only exacerbated that (cooking changes, and especially the cosiness mechanic)
Since farming has released, I haven't once used it to farm food items to cook with
the survival elements of the game feel like they've been kneecapped to the point of not really mattering as much anymore
At times dragonwilds feels less of a survival game and more a soulslike with survival flavour
I am very aware of the percieved vs actual skill learning curve, it gets thrown around a lot in art circles but applies to all skills, but alas i must complain when in a frustration dip
This is just my monthly complaining about programming again dw
Learning a new skill is such a cruel mistress
i love dagoth ur memes as much as the next person but he is still like. one of the most compelling villains i've seen in a game tbh
A drawing of Dagoth ur maskless and lounging on a red rug, illuminated by 2 dim candles. His upper chest and face are obscured either only 3 glowing eyes showing out of the pitch black. The drawing has a weathered vintage halftone print look to it.

Shoddy oblivion themed image of a landscape with a guard, an oblivion gate, giant opaque hot dog man, an amogus, jarl balgruuf duck, Razum Dar, a pickup truck, and a white bordered dremora image. Text says "AI CAN JEVER REPLICATE HOW FUCKIN NG STUPID I AM"
i don't know how or why but it's the only other game i've played that scratches that really specific itch
if you are tired and do need a break from runescape (especially osrs) i cannot emphasise this enough
