I meant that what you're trying to do at Blacksky is aligned with us since @yutingjiang.com and I have been working on polis and civic tech in general for a long time and we're bringing this to atproto so it makes sense to collaborate instead of reinventing the wheel separately.

I'll email you!

There is a misunderstanding, we are not in a position to give grants, we have limited funding, only Yuting and I are full-time on Agora.

We could only sponsor @patcon.bsky.social in the past because the work was aligned with our immediate product needs.

Topic clustering is also interesting to bring in the analysis.

In general there is a lot to do in both active and passive broad listening.

Anyway, DM me, I'd love to help you bring collective intelligence and sensemaking to Blacksky

Decentralized Deliberation Standard (DDS) An open protocol for sovereign, verifiable, interoperable, and resilient deliberation.

We're exploring a tiered deliberation process where a Polis conversation can be seeded through a ranking vote, or where a ranking process prioritizes consensus statements identified in a prior polis-like discussion.

Recently we started adding rank-voting as well powered by @tournesol.app 's solidago.tournesol.app

Currently the app is centralized but verifiable as auth is based on DID and UCAN.xyz, but we're working on migrating this to atproto and creating public API / frontend SDK for integrated flows. Would be happy to work with you to make this happen.

This algorithm powers @agoracitizen.network which is a modern redesign of pol.is. Agora Citizen Network already supports ZK login.

Hi Rudy,
With our small EU grants, we've sponsored @patcon.bsky.social a year ago to create a community rewrite of the core polis algorithm in python: github.com/polis-commun...
Since then, we've started improving upon it.

Anyone in Paris in the atproto community?

1 week ago 1 0 1 0

Is there any place on the internet where people actually discuss tech stacks, and other nerdy dev discussions? Everywhere is "Mythos", "AI", "GPT" blablabla. Getting tired of this.

I spend ten years telling people that S3 is not a filesystem and then AWS goes and makes me a liar

1/6 Et si le plus grand obstacle à la résolution de la crise climatique, ce n'était pas le charbon, ni les lobbys, ni même le déni, mais la façon dont circule l'information ? 👇

The future is not something we predict. It’s something we co-create! 🖖

I just published a personal write-up sharing reflections from an event we co-organized in Paris with friends from @radxchange.bsky.social.

This is why good teams right now are a few real seniors augmented with AI. Because a defining trait of seniority is knowing exactly where and when you can cut corners and when you need extra trust.

Of course this is not very sustainable...

Web of Vouch, with different forms of credentials and proofs, similar to the stillborn "Web5" idea. Yes having flexibility is good, but for Bluesky specifically the final UI is very much product-led. Depends on what users want for specific use-cases. The technology under the hood enables it already.

It's decentralized. Anybody can independently become a verifier. For example the New York Times account verified certain individual accounts. And you can know who the verifier is. That's the difference with Twitter (besides the cryptographic verifiability).

1 month ago 1 0 1 0

No, Twitter had a centralized model. With AT Protocol, it is a decentralized trust registry where organizations and individuals can vouch for one another.

One day when AI will learn by itself how to code, it will reinvent languages and frameworks from scratch and all our work will go to garbage. One day the new generation of agents will be vibe coding apps themselves in seconds based on our context.

UCAN - User Controlled Authorization Network A trustless, secure, local-first, user-originated, distributed authorization scheme.

I'm more bullish for agents using ucan.xyz to authenticate than crypto directly. I wouldn't trust an agent to handle my bank account. But I can trust them to do some actions that are ultimately potentially being charged, so long as I am monitoring it.
Ucan is very simple and powerful.
