Oh myyy. This looks like a Ticketmaster surcharge!
We saw the storm brewing a mile away.
This…this is a real post.
An NBC News article headline reads: "New images could change cancer diagnosis but ICE detained the Harvard scientist who analyzes them." The article is by Jean Lee, published on April 21, 2025, at 5:34 PM EDT, with a 7-minute read time. It has 86 comments. The summary states: "A groundbreaking microscope at Harvard Medical School could lead to breakthroughs in cancer detection and research into longevity. But the scientist who developed computer scripts to read its images and unlock its full potential has been in an immigration detention center for two months – putting crucial scientific advancements at risk." The NBC News logo is at the top.
This is who we are now?!
A tweet by Jesse Rodriguez ( @jesseR ) shows a Wall Street Journal headline: "Dow Headed for Worst April Since Great Depression." The subheading reads, "Few think the administration’s negotiations with trade partners will yield results soon enough to ease the strain." A chart titled "Performance since April 2 'Liberation Day'" compares Gold futures (up ~7%), WSJ Dollar Index (down ~2%), and S&P 500 (down ~10%). Market indicators show DJIA down 2.48%, S&P 500 down 2.36%, NASDAQ down 2.55%, and Russell 2000 down significantly.
Markets require sure and steady leadership. Not a clown show.
A tweet by Fox News ( @FoxNews ) reads, "Anti-Trump graffiti spree a sign of emerging alt-left, liberal activist says fxn.ws/2kt9TIX." The image shows a brick wall with graffiti that says "NO FASCIST USA" in red spray paint. A reply tweet by André Davis ( @AndreJDavis82 ) states, "That graffiti doesn't even mention Trump. It's interesting that you are willing to admit the Fascism though."
Even Fox knows it.
A post from Vivian (@suchnerve ) on X reads: "drug tests for EVERYONE in the White House and I'm not joking." Below, a reply from Laura Miers (@LauraMiers ), posted 2 days ago, says: "Excuse me?" The post also quotes a White House statement: "But we are capable of so much more. Our technologies permit us to manipulate time and space. They leave distance annihilated, cause things to grow, and improve productivity," with "annihilated" highlighted in yellow.
If there is ever a breach in the spacetime continuum, we’ll know where it began.
A post from Pop Base (@PopBase ) on X reads: "Juan Carlos Lopez-Gomez, a 20-year-old U.S. citizen, was detained in Florida under a state anti-immigration law — even after his birth certificate and Social Security card were presented in court. He was charged under a law that was temporarily blocked by a federal judge on April 4th, before his arrest. He’s now been released and reunited with his family." Below the text, there is an image of a young man and a woman hugging in a restaurant, with tables, chairs, and a window with a fast-food advertisement in the background.
If you so much as look like you might be a migrant, your rights are subject to the whims of ICE and the courts now. Be careful out there. Have people ready on speed dial who can help.
A post from @transunionism on X reads: "Bring it back." Below the text, there is an image of the cover of the book "The Jungle" by Upton Sinclair. The cover is green with a black-and-white illustration of industrial factories with smokestacks emitting smoke. The title "THE JUNGLE" is printed in large white letters at the bottom.
The FDA is said to be preparing to end most of its routine safety inspections, so…
Title reads: "It Didn't Start with Gas Chambers." Text below reads: "It started with one party controlling the media. One party controlling the message. One party deciding what is truth. One party censoring speech and controlling the opposition. One party dividing citizens into "us" vs "them" and calling on their supporters to harrass "them". Below it states: "It started when good people turned a blind eye and let it happen." Beneath the text is a picture of Nazi Germany.
Never forget.
HAPPY TAX DAY!
How much would you spend on a year of tornado warnings? The average US taxpayer spends only $4 a year to help fund the NWS. It’s a smart investment—every $1 invested in NWS yields approx. $73 in social benefits.
🌪️❄️ Support science. Support the NWS.
Stay tuned for more this #TaxDay
A tweet by Max Burns (@themaxburns ) reads: "From the U.S. Holocaust Museum: 'What distinguishes a concentration camp from a prison (in the modern sense) is that it functions outside of a judicial system. The prisoners are not indicted or convicted of any crime by judicial process.' Welp."
Never forget.
Tweet from Barack Obama praising Harvard for defending academic freedom and rejecting government overreach, shown above a Harvard University tweet asserting that no government should control university teachings, admissions, or areas of study.
Careful, Donald — courage is contagious.
A tweet by Elizabeth Warren (@SenWarren ) reads: "If President Trump can wrongly deport a Maryland father to a prison in El Salvador and then defy a 9-0 Supreme Court order to facilitate bringing him home, who’s next? This threatens the rights and freedoms of everyone in the United States."
We must make our stand here.
Screenshot of a lengthy post from Donald J. Trump on Truth Social criticizing 60 Minutes, CBS News, and Paramount for airing stories he claims are defamatory. Trump alleges election fraud, attacks the media’s credibility, and calls for FCC action against the networks, asserting they falsely reported on Ukraine and Greenland.
Calling for broadcasters to lose their licenses because they ran negative stories on him is what a dictator, not a president, does.
Tweet from Rob Wiblin that reads, "Seen on Slack." Below it is a dark gray text box with white text that says, "Perhaps Trump meant liberation in a Buddhist sense – Liberation from my material possessions."
As a Buddhist I reject this interpretation.
The image shows a section of a bathroom stall wall with a handwritten message in black marker. The message reads: "A Trans Person Peed here and you SURVIVED! :)" Next to the text, there is a small sticker of the transgender pride flag
Yes. People need to get over themselves.
why do hotels make their check-in time a secret on their website
Post by janashortal (@janashortal ) reads: "Another Minnesota college student taken by ICE - this time in Mankato. University was not given heads up." Below it a letter from the Office of the President at Minnesota State University to the campus, it states "I am writing to share that last Friday, at an off-campus residence, one of our students was detained by officials from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). No reason was given. The University has received no information from ICE, and they have not requested any information from us. I have contacted our elected officials to share my concerns and ask for their help in stopping this activity within our community of learners. Our international students play an important role in our campus and community. They are a valued part of our campus culture. This action hurts what we try to accomplish as a university—supporting all learners to receive the education they desire to make the impact they want in their communities."
Abolish ICE.
anywho, the package is in the 8oz weight class
forgot to weigh a package I’m mailing out today; remember I walk by the post office on my way to work and they have the self-service machine with a scale
The image is a screenshot of a post on X by The Wall Street Journal (@WSJ ). The post reads: "Federal immigration authorities detained a Turkish graduate student at Tufts University. The government hasn’t filed any charges against Rumeysa Ozturk, who was in the U.S. on a student visa, her lawyer said. Read more: on.wsj.com/3E3AM0b." Below the text, there is an image showing a person in a hoodie detaining another person in a white coat and headscarf outside an apartment, with a car and another person in a cap nearby. The image caption reads: "off-campus apartment."
This should chill everyone in this country to the bone. All she did was write an OpEd the administration didn’t like. This is fascistic suppression of free speech.
The image is a screenshot of a post on X by a user named Charlotte Clymer (@cmcl ...) 13 hours ago. The post reads: "Countries that have issued a travel advisory this year warning their citizens about visiting the United States:" followed by a list of countries: Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, United Kingdom. The username includes a Ukrainian flag emoji.
Are we great again yet?
The image is a screenshot of a post on X by Elon Musk (@elonmusk ) 4 minutes ago. The post reads: "On Sunday night, I will give a talk in Wisc. Entrance is limited to those who have voted in the Supreme Court election. I will also personally hand over two checks for a million dollars each in appreciation for you taking the time to vote. This is super important."
There should be laws against this!
The image is a screenshot of a post on X by a user named Cait (@CaitCamelia ). The post reads: "This tweet was supposed to be a joke." Below this, there is a screenshot of another post by Cait (@CaitCamelia ) that reads: "We’re like 3 days away from child labor being legalized." Included in this post is an image from FactPost (@factpostnews ) dated 2/4/25, with the headline: "Rep. Andy Biggs introduces bill to abolish OSHA and completely eliminate federal workplace safety protections." The image shows two men in suits, one sitting at a desk and the other standing, with an American flag in the background, alongside the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) logo.
No horror is too low to go for them.
Zack Beauchamp (@zackbeauch ...) posted on X about a man, Alvarado, sent to a Salvadoran torture camp for having an autism awareness tattoo honoring his brother. Alvarado’s sister, Maria, said he has no ties to Tren de Aragua and taught swimming to kids with disabilities. Despite this, ICE detained him in February due to his tattoos, as they were targeting people with tattoos. Maria emphasized Alvarado’s good character, noting the family’s devastation over his unjust detention.
If you don’t think this administration is so incompetent or callous as not to do this, you haven’t been paying attention.
