Fucking THIS!!!!! I had thoughts about how I should have been born a girl from such a young age - theres video footage of me expressing this at 3 yo. It got so bad that I once cried in bed at 12 that I "wasnt a girl" and by 15 I was insanely sad I'd never get pregnant. In my teens I recognised some femininity in me I didnt have the words for and after my kids were born I became super performatively masculine (I knew it was a performance and hey crippling depression soon followed). Even 2/3 years before I came out I kept recognising a desire to transition but I had to keep explaining to myself why I wasn't which culminated in a panic attack in May 2023 on the fucking M6 because those explanations weren't cutting it anymore and its like my mind just put its foot down Me coming out was more than 30 years of trying to reject who I was from birth. To some people me coming out 3 years ago was out of the blue. For me, it made all the sense in the world I dont think people often recognise that struggle. I really tried hard not to be. But I am, I was born a girl with a body that didn't match and I've been happier in the last 3 years than I ever was for the previous 32 years 💜
