Thank you, that really means a lot to me!
For my first game, I think it turned out quite well.
I’m currently working on a game called Avemary Rocket with Amaya and the team, and after that, I plan to make another classic arcade-style game like this.

Thank you! I’ll keep working hard so people overseas can play it as soon as possible.
It’s been a while, but here’s a bit of news.
A small playable demo of #AvemaryRocket will be available at “Burari Kawagoe GAMEDIGG2” on Saturday, April 25.
It’s just a short experience, but I hope you can enjoy a glimpse of the world of Avemary Rocket.

I love spring in Kyoto. I truly do.
有難うございます、僕は月火以外はだいたい店(事務所)に出勤してるので、また気軽に遊びにきてください!歓迎しますよ!
Thank you. This is a traditional Kyoto townhouse called a “Kyo-machiya.”
It’s nearly 100 years old, and I feel very lucky to run my shop in such a wonderful place.
Don’t worry, I’m sure there will be another chance, so I’m looking forward to it!
And the little fish mascot you gave me is still attached to my bag.
That said, our place will continue to operate as an event venue and rental space. We plan to host study events, sketching sessions, and even game events.
If you ever visit Kyoto, please feel free to stop by.
Today marks the end of 26 years of running our café. My mother, who has been the owner, turns 80 this year, and I am now 49 while busy raising my daughter.
We felt it was physically reaching our limits, so we decided to close the café. I truly believe our whole family did an incredible job.
Yeah, once I finish Avemary Rocket, I’ll start working on another arcade-style game. Please look forward to it!
Thank you! This is a variety called Camellia 'Otome-tubaki', and it’s blooming all over the garden.
Spring has come to my shop.
Actually, at the end of this month, we will be closing the café side of my shop.
My mother is getting older, and I’ve also been fully occupied with childcare and game development.
That said, we’re not shutting it down completely, and we plan to open it for special events.
Thank you! This duck painting is one of our favorites. It’s cute, isn’t it?
In Japan, we celebrate a festival called "Hinamatsuri" in March, wishing for the healthy growth and happiness of girls.
People decorate with dolls of an emperor and empress to celebrate.
At the moment, my café is displaying over 250 unique sets of these dolls.
Thank you! My wife is very happy as well.
My wife( @ayamediary.bsky.social ) went to Tokyo for an art exhibition over the past couple of days. She’s a Japanese painter.
While I was taking care of our daughter on my own, I really felt how much she has grown, and how amazing my wife is.
And actually, #AvemaryRocket is also part of the MADE IN JAPAN COLLECTION!
It’s currently in active development, and adding it to your wishlist would mean a lot to me.

Thank you so much for sharing my game.
I still can’t quite believe there’s an homage to it in DELTARUNE. It feels like a dream.

The Pluey Mike minigame is a homage to the game "Raindrop Sprinters", which Toby has played before. The description of the game, with the phrasing "shoe, hey", also references the name Shuhei Miyazawa, the creator of Raindrop sprinters. (Video by Shuhei)
The Kyoto Marathon was held the other day. There’s a turnaround point near my shop, and this year they had placed a warp pipe there. Apparently, this year marks the 40th anniversary of Super Mario.
Back then, game soundtracks often included arranged versions of the music, but I never really liked them.
To me, any sound that didn’t come directly from the game itself felt like something completely different.
The Famicom(NES) was released the year I entered elementary school.
I fell in love not only with games, but with their music too.
I played the tunes on recorder and keyboard, but what I wanted was the real sound.
The sound of the game itself.
Thank you! Back then, when I was working as his debugger, I never imagined that I would be making games myself someday.
I can’t compare to him, of course, but I’ll do my best to make something people can enjoy.
When I look at Cave Story, I really feel that I’m now walking the same path he walked about 20 years ago.
It makes me appreciate just how amazing he is all over again.
Thank you! I had some work with a tight deadline, so I pushed myself a bit too hard.
Game development is fun, but I need to make sure I take proper breaks too.
Even though I said my goal this year was to rest, I ended up working nonstop from New Year’s Day through yesterday.
I’ve reached a small milestone, so I’d like to take it easy this week.
